Abstract: A changing pad includes a resilient support that has a generally flat base with a bottom surface. A peripheral wall extends upwardly of the base to form a region wherein an infant may be placed. A strap assembly includes a first and second strap portions, each of which having one end secured to the resilient support proximately to the first and second bottom side edges, respectively. Cooperative fastening elements releasably connect to other ends of the two strap portions. The locations of the connections of the strap portions to the bottom edges may be set back an inset distance to allow use with fitted coverings.

Abstract: A packaged item for display to a consumer including an item having a construction which comprises a selected material and a container receiving the item that is formed at least partially from a tactile panel that corresponds to the selected material. The packaged item may include a display card that includes indicia, such as an arrow, configured to draw the consumer's attention to the tactile panel whereby the consumer may perceive a tactile representation of the item without compromising integrity of the container.

Abstract: A bed guard assembly includes a one or more end panels, a spanner, connectors and an extension. The spanner is placed against the top or bottom surface a mattress. The connectors connect the spanner to the end panels such that one end panel opposes another end panel across the mattress when the spanner is disposed against the surface of the mattress. The extension is removably attached to one of the connectors and extends from the connector at a substantially right angle with respect to the spanner.

Abstract: A swing includes a mechanism for providing a vibrating motion to the infant suspended in the swing seat. The swing includes a swing support, a child-receiving seat, a swing arm, and a vibration mechanism. The swing arm is coupled to the seat and has a first end that is pivotally connected to the support. The vibration mechanism is disposed to impart a vibrating motion to the seat.

Abstract: A remote sound monitor includes a receiver unit and a transmitter unit. The transmitter unit includes a sound transducer that receives the sound input and converts the sound input to the audio signal, and an audio transmitter that transmits the audio signal. The receiver unit includes an audio receiver that receives a transmitted audio signal having a parameter that corresponds to an amplitude of a remote sound input, and a display that provides a visual indication of the parameter of the audio signal. The display providing the visual indication can flash, strobe, or change colors in response to a change in amplitude of the sound input. The receiver unit can also include an audio speaker with a user-actuated amplification stage to provide remote audio output of the sound input.
