Patent number: 6059005Abstract: A garage door decorative cover assembly for use over the exterior surface of a garage door made of a plurality of door panels includes at least one flexible panel and, for each flexible panel, a first connector and at least one resilient second connector. Each flexible panel has a first end, a second end, a front surface and a back surface. According to one embodiment and with respect to each flexible panel, the first connector attaches the first end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage door, and the resilient second connector couples the second end of the flexible panel to a surface of the garage door other than the exterior surface such that the flexible panel is held taut when the garage door is in both open and closed positions.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 1998Date of Patent: May 9, 2000Assignee: Sun Hill Industries, IncInventor: Benson Zinbarg

Patent number: 6001434Abstract: Decorative structures comprising a flexible sheet-like member simulate universal conceptions of the appearance of floating and fixed ghosts. A structure for simulating a universal conception of the appearance of a floating ghost comprises a flexible sheet-like member draped over a support member, such as a balloon, to form a composite structure. The composite structure is suspended from a support structure to simulate the appearance of a floating ghost. A decorative structure for simulating a universal conception of a fixed ghost comprises a support bag member having a filling therein, and a flexible sheet-like member placed over the support bag member and having facial indicia simulating an appearance of a face of a ghost thereon. The free ends of the sheet-like member are secured to the ground at spaced apart positions, to provide a generally inverted conical shape, so that the resultant structure can flutter when subjected to wind or the like.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1999Date of Patent: December 14, 1999Assignee: Sun Hill Industries, Inc.Inventors: Benson Zinbarg, Nancy Mimoun, Alfred Pisano

Patent number: 6000171Abstract: A method of holding plants to a stake is provided. A posable figure preferably having a plurality of elongate positionable appendages is provided. The posable figure preferably has an internal bendable wire frame and external relatively soft body, appendage, and head portions surrounding the wire frame. In addition, the figure is preferably a whimsical figure, such as a fanciful frog, garden bug, or farmer. A stake is inserted into the soil or other ground or potting material adjacent the plant. Then a pair of appendages of the figure are positioned on either side of the plant stem and stake and bent about the plant stem and the stake. The process is preferably repeated for additional appendages. The method provides a quick, easy, and decorative manner for safely holding a plant to a stake. A kit of posable figures is also provided for practicing the method of the invention.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1998Date of Patent: December 14, 1999Assignee: Sun Hill Industries, Inc.Inventor: Michael C. Patent number: 5937587Abstract: A garage door decorative cover assembly for use on an exterior surface of a garage door made of a plurality of door panels permitted to rotate relative to each other when the garage door moves from a closed position to an open position includes at least one flexible cover panel, a fixing component, and a weighted holding mechanism. The flexible cover panel has a first end, a second end, a front surface and a back surface. The fixing component fixedly attaches the first end of the cover panel to the surface of the garage door, and the weighted holding mechanism couples the second end of the cover panel to the surface of the garage door such that the cover panel is coupled to the garage door is in both open and closed positions. The weight of the holding mechanism maintains the cover panel in a taut state whether the garage door is open or closed. Patent number: 5776558Abstract: A weatherproof seasonal tree ornamentation includes a sheet of clear waterproof plastic which is dimensioned to fit around the trunk of a tree and which is imprinted with at least some facial indicia such as two eyes and a mouth. When the ornamentation is attached to a tree, the clear portion of the ornamentation blends in with the color of the tree trunk and the facial indicia appear to be part of the tree.
