Abstract: A removable attachment for eyeglasses, where the attachment, when mounted on a parent pair of eyeglasses, substantially completely covers the front and periphery of the parent frame, such that the combination appears to be a pair of dedicated sunglasses instead of ordinary eyeglasses with an attachment. The attachment is held to the parent eyeglasses by magnets. The bridge of the attachment includes ball joints that allow the attachment to fold for storage while not in use.

Abstract: A removable attachment for eyeglasses. The attachment is held to the parent eyeglasses by magnets. The bridge of the attachment includes ball joints that allow the attachment to fold for storage while not in use, and also allow the lens units of the attachment to twist about a horizontal line with respect to the bridge thereby enabling the lens units to conform to misaligned parent lenses.

Abstract: A plastic auxiliary frame magnetically attachable to eyeglasses wherein magnets are positioned such that they magnetically engage the face of the rim surrounding the parent eyeglass frame. The magnets are so positioned that they do not actually touch the rim face so that scratching of the finish on the face is prevented.
Abstract: A magnetically affixed attachment for spectacles, including a preferably non-magnetic eyewire having front and rear regions. An auxiliary ens is held in the front region, and the rear region contains a plurality of micromagnets. Each micromagnet, preferably of the rare earth type, is located on the inner periphery of the rear region, and is thereby protected from physical abuse. The inner periphery of said eyewire has the same shape, but preferably is slightly larger than the outer periphery of the spectacle rim to which it is intended to attach, hence allowing maximum contact between each micromagnet and the spectacle rim, which rim is fabricated of, or includes, magnetic material.
