Abstract: A child carrier utilized to carry a child on the back of an adult is described. The child carrier includes a rigid frame having front and rear sections. The front section, adjacent to the user's back, comprises a pair of rigid columnar members joined at their top ends by a rigid yoke. In preferred embodiments, the yoke has slots formed therein to serve as a handle and to provide connecting points for the shoulder straps. A child restraint system is described wherein a floating loop is formed by the interconnection of the shoulder straps and the crouch strap. A rigid canopy is described comprising arcuate rigid members that connect to the front and rear sections of the rigid frame, and a flexible hood. A waist belt assembly is also described that permits a waist belt to be adjusted vertically to account for different builds of various users.

Abstract: A golf bag incorporating an integrated back pad and dual straps is described. The back pad comprises two elements: an upper back pad member and a lower back pad member. The lower back pad member acts as an intermediate between the back of the golfer and the surface of the golf bag when being carried. The upper back pad member extends away from the golf bag body and provides additional back support to the golfer. Both dual straps are attached to the upper back pad member at one end and to either the golf bag body or the lower back pad member at the other end. Because the straps attach to the upper back pad member and are typically spaced from each other, the golfer can more intuitively determine both which shoulder strap to place over his shoulder first and which end of the shoulder strap corresponds to the portion of the shoulder strap that will rest on the golfer's shoulder.

According to one aspect of the present invention, the golf bag includes a top located at an upper portion of the golf bag and a base located at a lower portion of the golf bag. Additionally, the golf bag additionally includes a body coupled between the top and the base. Further, a stand is mounted to the top and the base at an off center position. According to another aspect of the present invention, the top has an asymmetrical shape about two perpendicular axes. The asymmetrical top may additionally include a pair of corresponding halves defined by a longitudinal axis. The right half may have a convex shape designed to comfortably cradle the small of a golfer's back. The left half may have a concave shape to increase the volume of a pocket, such as a clothing pocket or a ball pocket. The asymmetrical top may additionally include one or more integral dividers.

Abstract: A new ultra light weight, spring action, stand system for supporting a golf bag is provided. According to one aspect of the present invention, the stand system includes a top bracket, a pair of legs, a guide, a wire form, and a footplate. The top bracket is configured for coupling to a top portion of a golf bag. The pair of legs may be pivotably coupled to the top bracket. The guide is for coupling to a bottom portion of the golf bag to restrain lateral movement of the wire form, for example. The wire form is slidably coupled through the guide and engages the legs. The actuation of the wire form moves the legs from a retracted position to an extended position. Finally, the footplate is pivotably mounted to the wire form and is positioned to have a contact point with the ground for actuating the wire form that is behind the plane of the legs.
