Abstract: Battery assembly, comprising a primary positive battery terminal (20) and a primary negative battery terminal (22) connected by an electrical circuit, the electrical circuit comprising a series or parallel connection of one or more battery cells (14). The battery assembly (1) further comprises an external skeleton formed by an internal base plate (16), an internal top plate (18) and a plurality of cell brackets (24), surrounding the one or more battery cells (14).

Abstract: A balancer circuit for a cell in a rechargeable battery, having connecting terminals for connection of the balancer circuit to the cell. A first resistor is electrically connected to one of the connecting terminals and a voltage switch is arranged in series with the first resistor and electrically connected to the other one of the connecting terminals. The voltage switch, e.g., an adjustable voltage reference circuit, is operable to shunt a balancing current through the first resistor when a load voltage sensed over the connecting terminals is higher than a threshold voltage.
Abstract: Connection assembly for connecting two or more cells (10) in a battery pack. The connection assembly (1) has a first connector element (2) of a first material and a second connector element (3) of a second material. The first material has a lower resistivity than the second material. The first connector element (2) and second connector element (3) are electrically connected to each other by a low resistance connection (5).
