Patent number: 9891087Abstract: A mass airflow measuring device includes an air passageway defined in a duct. A first channel communicates with the air passageway via at least one first aperture to allow air flowing through the air passageway to enter the first channel. A second channel is located downstream from the first channel. A sample channel communicates the first channel with the second channel. A mass airflow sensor is located in the sample channel and is adapted to receive air flowing in the sample channel. The sample channel is defined in a housing which has a chamber adapted to accommodate one of a variety of differently configured mass airflow sensors. The sensor is adapted to output an airflow signal based on air flowing past the sensor. A processing unit communicates with the sensor and is adapted to receive the airflow signal from the sensor.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2015Date of Patent: February 13, 2018Assignee: Supertrapp Industries, Inc.Inventors: Nikolas James Wolgamott, Robert Pierce, III

Patent number: 6467569Abstract: An engine muffler and spark arrestor includes an outer tube extending along an axis and having an inlet end and an outlet end. A plurality of substantially identical nested discs are disposed coaxially adjacent the outlet end of the outer tube. Each of the discs has a centrally located aperture. Each of the discs also has at least one slot extending therethrough. An end cap is disposed on a distal end of the set of discs. The end cap has a solid central portion which forces at least a portion of an exhaust gas flowing from an internal combustion to which the muffler is connected to flow radially outwardly along interstitial spaces defined between each pair of discs and then flow axially in a direction approximately parallel to a longitudinal axis of the muffler.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2001Date of Patent: October 22, 2002Assignee: Supertrapp IndustriesInventors: Albert M. Noe, Eric G. Kindel

Publication number: 20010032909Abstract: A universal mounting assembly for mounting exhaust pipe components to several different types of motor vehicles includes a bracket body having a mounting portion, an intermediate portion, and a support portion. The mounting portion has a first aperture and a second aperture spaced from the first aperture. The support portion includes a planar member, a first aperture located in the planar member, and a second aperture located in the planar member with the second aperture being spaced from the first aperture. First and second fasteners extend through the first and second apertures of the mounting portion for securing the mounting portion to a structural portion of an associated vehicle. The mounting portion is located in a first plane with the support portion being located in a second plane spaced from the first plane. The first and second planes are approximately aligned with the second plane being oriented at, at most, an acute angle in relation to the first plane.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2001Publication date: October 25, 2001Applicant: Supertrapp IndustriesInventor: Terry L. Patent number: 5869793Abstract: An engine muffler and spark arrester includes an oval shaped outer tube extending along an axis and having an inlet end and an outlet end. A plurality of substantially identical nested oval shaped disks are disposed coaxially adjacent the outlet end. Each of the disks has an oval shaped centrally located aperture. An inner tube is disposed coaxially within the outer tube. The inner tube has a circular inlet end and an oval-shaped outlet end. An oval end cap is disposed adjacent the disks. A sound absorbent material can be disposed in a cavity defined between the inner tube and the outer tube. An oval-shaped inlet cap is secured to the inlet end of the outer tube with the inlet cap having a circular centrally located aperture extending therethrough. An oval-shaped outlet cap is secured to the outlet end of the outer tube. The outlet cap has an oval-shaped centrally located aperture extending therethrough.Type: GrantFiled: December 9, 1997Date of Patent: February 9, 1999Assignee: Supertrapp Industries, Inc.Inventors: Christopher J.
