  • Patent number: 11944854
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls from the container toward the first burner.

  • Patent number: 10690433
Abstract: An energy capture and control device can include a central chamber oriented along a central axis within an outer shell. The central chamber can have an inlet configured to receive a bullet from a firearm muzzle, and a central chamber outlet along the central axis. The device can also include an off axis chamber oriented within the outer shell in fluid communication with the central chamber and a fluid outlet to allow fluid to escape from the off axis chamber.

  • Patent number: 10393463
Abstract: A firearm accessory system that self-tightens in response to firing comprises an interface structure (e.g., flash hider mount) threadably coupleable to a muzzle end of the firearm, and a suppressor threadably coupleable to the interface structure at a proximal end of the suppressor. At least one of the interface structure or the suppressor can comprise a plurality of discharge gas deflector openings formed at an angle relative to a central axis, and that exhaust discharge gases out through a distal end of the suppressor. In response to firing a projectile through the interface structure and the suppressor, discharge gases flowing through the plurality of discharge gas deflector openings cause a torsional force to tighten the respective one of the interface structure or the suppressor to the respective one of the muzzle end or the interface structure.

  • Patent number: 9999791
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for extinguishing a stovetop fire over a stovetop having a first burner, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top, the container having a closure retained in a closed position on the container. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the container when the closure is in the closed position. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. When the container is mounted to the microwave over the first burner, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to an open position and at least a portion of the supply of fire suppressant material falls toward the first burner.

  • Patent number: 9849315
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing a stovetop fire including a microwave positioned above the stove top, a compartment defined in the microwave; and a closure retained in a closed position on the microwave. A projection member is positioned within the compartment, the projection member retained in a retracted position while the closure is in the closed position. A supply of fire suppressant material is retained within the compartment when the closure is in the closed position, the supply of fire suppressant material including a second burner portion positioned against the projection member. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the microwave. When the microwave is positioned over a first burner on the stovetop, and the fire actuates the heat responsive actuator, the closure moves to an open position and the projection member moves to an extended position, the projection member forcing the second burner portion toward a second burner.

  • Patent number: 9604081
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing a fire on a stovetop, the apparatus including a container detachably mountable to a microwave positioned above the stove top, the container having a closure movable between an open and closed position on the container. A projection member is connected to the container, the projection member movable with respect to the container between a retracted and extended position. A supply of fire suppressant material is retainable within the container when the closure is in the closed position. A heat responsive actuator is disposed on the container. • Patent number: 9435600
Abstract: A thermal mirage reducing device for firearms is disclosed and described. The thermal mirage reducing device includes a heat control shell oriented along a horizontal longitudinal axis corresponding to a bore line of a firearm. A cross-sectional profile of the heat control shell taken perpendicular to the longitudinal axis is asymmetrical about a vertical plane dividing the heat control shell along the longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional profile has a heat-directing portion protruding on one side of the vertical plane. The heat-directing portion extends to a high point that is vertically higher than any other point in the cross-sectional profile and laterally offset from the vertical plane. The cross-sectional profile does not intersect the line of sight of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 9423198
Abstract: A firearm flash hider can include a base module and at least one vented flash control module. The base module can have a longitudinal boreline which is fluidly coupleable to a muzzle end of a firearm to allow a projectile to pass therethrough. The base module can also have an inlet port which is operable to receive at least a portion of a flash generated by firing the projectile. The vented flash control module can be arranged along the longitudinal boreline distal to the muzzle end. The vented flash control module can also have a flash chamber bounded by at least one wall that at least partially defines a geometry of the flash chamber and extends both radially and longitudinally from the boreline and translates circumferentially as it extends longitudinally. The flash chamber terminates at a circumferential angle of rotation from the inlet port where the circumferential angle of rotation being less than 180 degrees.
