Abstract: The present invention discloses a docbase management system and a method for extending docbase management system functions. The method includes: determining an extended function module which matches extended data, wherein, the extended function module is compatible with a system extension interface in a docbase management system; invoking, through the system extension interface of the docbase management system, the determined extended function module to process the extended data. The method provided by the present invention enables the docbase management system functions to be extended without recompiling the docbase management system.

Abstract: The present invention provides a content reading system and method, which gives consideration to both the flexibility of reading method and the security of copyright protection. The content reading system includes: a Document Management System DCMS server, adapted to support the storage and parsing of data content; invoke stored page data and provides the page data to a dedicated client after receiving a page data request from the dedicated client; invoke stored page data to form bitmap of the page and provides the bitmap to a Web client after receiving a page data request from a Web client.

Abstract: A novel method is disclosed for detecting hidden information in a document comprising characters, including: determining layout transformation for each character in the document for detection compared with the original document; obtaining a code sequence embedded in the document for detection based on the layout transformation of each character in the document for detection and the predetermined embedding rule; decoding the code sequence to get the hidden information embedded in the document for detection.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for processing a document conforming to a docbase standard. The method includes: obtaining contents of a document conforming to a docbase standard via a docbase standard interface; generating an interim document which is in a format supported by a third-party software, and saving the contents of the document into the interim document as at least one embedded object and/or image; and providing the interim document for the third-party software for displaying. According to the method and the apparatus provided by the present invention, third-party software is able to process documents conforming to the docbase standard without any change.

Abstract: A system of accessing a copy-prevented encrypted data file transmitted over a network includes a server apparatus having data files; and a client apparatus comprising a read apparatus and a temporary storage. A data file in a server apparatus is accessed through the network from the client apparatus and cached in the temporary storage, and the data file cached in the temporary storage is obtainable by the read apparatus for human recognition of the content of the data file. The read apparatus is not capable of at least one of printing and saving as. The present invention also provides a method of accessing a copy-prevented encrypted data file from a server apparatus. The system and method improve data file transmission security and decrease the possibility of copying and decrypting the data file.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and apparatus for privilege control to provide comprehensive privilege control with fine granularity. Document data stored in the docbase management system includes at least one document data object, and the at least one document object supports at least one privilege. When setting a privilege for a role over a document data object, a privilege is selected from the at least one privilege supported by the document data object, and the selected privilege is set as the privilege of the role over the document data object. When the role is to perform an operation on the document data object, the operation of the role on the document data object is controlled according to the privilege of the role over the document data object.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for storing document data in a docbase management system are provided. In the method, document data is described by using a tree structure, the document data is split into multiple data fragments based on the tree structure when the document data is being stored, and the data fragments are stored, and the relation of the data fragments is recorded, wherein, each data fragment corresponds to a subtree or a node in the tree structure.
