  • Patent number: 11766634
Abstract: An adsorptive gas separation apparatus and method is disclosed. An adsorbent structure may include a first adsorbent layer having at least a first adsorbent material, a second adsorbent layer including at least a second adsorbent material, and a barrier layer, where the barrier layer is interposed between the first adsorbent layer and the second adsorbent layer. A parallel passage contactor including a plurality of adsorbent structures each comprising a barrier layer, and arranged to form first and second fluid passages is also disclosed. An adsorption process for separating at least a first component from a multi-component fluid stream using the adsorbent structure is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11378274
Abstract: An integrated fuel combustion system with gas separation (adsorptive, absorptive, membrane or other suitable gas separation) separates a portion of carbon dioxide from a combustion gas mixture and provides for recycle of separated carbon dioxide to the intake of a fuel combustor for combustion.

  • Patent number: 11224834
Abstract: A combustion system and process of operating the combustion system incorporating an electrostatic precipitator, an optional flue gas desulfurizer, and a temperature swing adsorptive gas separator, for post-combustion emission abatement is provided. A very low pressure steam stream may be employed as a first regeneration stream for the temperature swing adsorptive gas separator where the very low pressure steam stream may optionally be recovered from, a very low pressure steam turbine or an auxiliary boiler. A fluid stream at a suitable temperature for regeneration of at least one adsorbent material in the temperature swing adsorptive gas separator may be employed as a second regeneration stream where the fluid stream may optionally be recovered from an electrostatic precipitator, an oxidant preheater, or an auxiliary heater.

  • Patent number: 11117088
Abstract: An adsorptive gas separation process and system is provided for separating at least a first component from a multi-component fluid mixture, or specifically for separating at least a first component from a post-combustion gas stream produced by a fuel combustor. The adsorptive gas separation process and system employs a steam stream during at least one regenerating step at sub-ambient pressure.

  • Patent number: 11014040
Abstract: An adsorptive gas separator incorporates a stator having plurality of a fluid passages where a thermal conductivity between a plurality of fluid passages is below a threshold thermal conductivity, to reduce the transfer of heat across the stator. A stator of an adsorptive gas separator may employ a port assembly having a low thermal conductivity and a floating seal which provides for sealing of heat and a fluid stream.
