Patents Assigned to Svedala Compaction Equipment AB
  • Patent number: 6659685
Abstract: The invention is directed to an arrangement for cooling the hydraulic fluid in a hydraulic-powered vibrating compactor. The arrangement includes a hydraulic pump (6) of the compactor. The hydraulic pump (6) is provided with a through shaft having a fan wheel (7) mounted on the free end (8) thereof. The fan wheel (7) is located to draw cooling air (15) through a duct (10) formed by a tunnel-shaped hydraulic fluid reservoir (9). This arrangement reduces the temperature of the hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic-powered vibrating compactor.

  • Patent number: 6419420
Abstract: The invention is directed to a vibrating tamper having a single control lever. The single control lever (4) can be set by an operator to any one of three releasably fixed positions with a snap-action detent device holding the control lever in the position selected by the operator. In the first position, the engine ignition is short-circuited, a fuel valve is closed, a fuel tank venting valve is closed and the throttle is fully closed. In the second position, the engine ignition circuit is enabled, the fuel tank venting valve is open, the fuel valve is open and the throttle control is in a starting/idling position. In the third position, the engine ignition circuit is enabled, the fuel tank venting valve is open, the fuel valve is open and the throttle control is in full-throttle position.

  • Patent number: 6267532
Abstract: A vibrating compactor is equipped with a handle assembly (20) in which the vibrations are damped via vibration dampers (8) with an arrangement to limit the resilient movement of the vibration dampers. The handle assembly includes a lower section (5) and an upper section (9) joined by the vibration dampers. The lower section of the handle assembly is provided with through spindles (11) which can be positioned and tightened in elongated through openings (10) in the lower section. The spindles (11) extend through corresponding oblong holes (12) in the upper section (9) of the handle assembly. The holes (12) each widen toward one end and narrow toward the other end.

  • Patent number: 5988940
Abstract: The invention relates to a scraper device for static or vibratory rolling machines for compacting materials, primarily gravel, earth and asphalt. The scraper device includes a scraper element (6) which is designed to clean the surfaces of a roller cylinder of gravel, earth or asphalt adhering to the surfaces as the material is compacted. A spring (10) permits scraper elements to be easily lifted clear of the surfaces when cleaning of the latter is not required.
