The first component is mounted to the first tile assembly, and the second component is mounted to the second tile assembly.

Abstract: A method of installing a looped backed carpet is disclosed in which water is applied to the carpet, the carpet is allowed to expand, and the carpet is then affixed in place by a hook and loop system in its expanded state.

Abstract: A carpet tape is disclosed with hooks projecting from the front side of a sheet for attachment to loops on the underside of the carpet and with an opposite adhesive side for attachment to the floor. Selected, non-contiguous areas of the sheet are removed to create holes to reduce the mount of material, to reduce seam telegraphing and to allow moisture to be released from beneath the tape. A covering provides integrity for the tape prior to installation.

Abstract: An anchor-board construction system suitable for incorporation into the interior of buildings and homes is disclosed for use as a cladding to replace conventional plaster based wall board similar to that known in the trade as GYPROCK, having one surface thereof incorporating a layer of protruding attachment hooks. These hooks can accept and retain decorative and functional surface finish units embodying a looped or other suitably "piled" posterior surface portion, for attachment to the hooks. For use, within a building as a wall system, the novel anchor boards are secured into position as an underlying wall layer, and a selected form of area finish embodying a complementary attachment surface is secured thereto simply by pressing into place. The area finish can be carpet tiles, wallpaper or fabric with looped backing or wood paneling.

The brushing tape may be provided as a cover for adhesive carpet tape or for carpet tape having draft of a hook and loop fastening system. A pull string may also be provided for the brushing tape.

Abstract: Re-attachable structural assemblies incorporating complementary area fastening elements comprising hook and loop elements over extended rigid contact surfaces between structural members of an assembly are disclosed for use in the construction industry in relation to: temporary formwork for casting concrete; precast concrete components for permanent installation of finished surfaces; and, fabricated floor and wall systems including joists, sub-floors, and floor covering surface units. The use of synthetic hook and loop attachment systems affords significant savings in time, labor, and frequently in materials, particularly in the temporary formwork application.

Abstract: A wall covering is provided for a wall board system, in which the wall board bears one half of a hook and loop fastening system. The wall covering bears the complementary half of the fastening system on one side and has a decorative finish on the other. An apparatus for applying the wall covering in roll form, by unrolling the wall covering under tension and providing spaces for the attachment of trim pieces on the edges of the wall board is also described, as well as a method for applying the wall covering.
