    Abstract: In a binding machine for binding bundles of elongate articles, a switchover device for switching between a one-loop mode and a two-loop mode is provided. The switchover device is moved fore and aft relative to the twisting head of the binding machine so as to place the switchover device into a first position and a second position. In the first position, a binding wire is guided through a guide way into first and second annular passages therein, thereby making two loops around the elongate articles. In the second position, the binding wire is guided through the guide way into only the first annular passage therein, thereby making a single loop around the elongate articles.

    Abstract: A system for turning shape steels upside down includes a conveyor adapted to transport shape steels along a line, a shifting device having bars rotatable across the line upwards and downwards for transferring the shape steels from a count-up station to a first tumbling station and at the same time from the first tumbling station to a second tumbling station, intermediate and final lifting devices disposed at the tumbling stations, respectively, such that they are raised and lowered alternately in unison with the shifting device, and in their raised positions cause the shape steels to turn upside down and magnetic means adapted to attract the inverted shape steels located on the final lifting device, so as to transfer them onto a pick-up station before they are delivered to a binding apparatus.

    Abstract: In an automatic bundling apparatus for bar steel, die steel, steel pipes, wire rods, etc., a power shaft and a twist shaft are disposed coaxially and a differential gearing mechanism is interposed between and coaxially with the power shaft and the twist shaft. The functions such as clamping of the bundling wire end, cutting of the wire and twisting of the wire which are the main operations in bundling are performed by the same hydraulic motor through the utilization of the differential gearing mechanism.
