    Abstract: A rotary union for delivery of a coolant fluid to a spindle of a metal working machine comprises a housing having a cylindrical bore containing bearings for journaling a tubular shaft therein wherein the improvement resides in the provision of a floating bushing seal as the high-pressure seal. The floating bushing seal assembly includes a seal housing containing a plurality of longitudinally disposed bushing rings that have a low clearance fit with respect to the tubular shaft of the rotary union.
