Patents Assigned to Talley Group Limited
  • Patent number: 8814840
Abstract: There is described a medical apparatus, which may comprise a fluid collection vessel and a sensor. The sensor is arranged to sense when the fluid collection vessel is substantially full even when the fluid collection vessel is tilted by up to a predetermined angle from its preferred orientation. The fluid collection vessel may comprise a main chamber and a sensor chamber in fluid communication with one another. The sensor is located in the sensor chamber. The fluid inlet, the main chamber and the sensor chamber are arranged such that fluid entering the fluid collection vessel via the fluid inlet flows into the main chamber even when the fluid collection vessel is tilted by up to the predetermined angle from its preferred orientation, and, once the main chamber is full, any further collected fluid flows from the main chamber into the sensor chamber.

  • Patent number: 8745784
Abstract: There is described a mattress system (20) comprising a mattress, an airflow driving device (14) and a heat adjustment unit (28). The mattress has a mattress cover (24) enclosing an internal mattress (10) such that a mattress air chamber is formed between the internal mattress and the mattress cover. The airflow driving device is in fluid communication with the mattress air chamber via an air chamber inlet and an air chamber outlet. The airflow driving device is operable to drive an airflow through the mattress air chamber from the air chamber inlet to the air chamber outlet. The heat adjustment unit is for heating or cooling the airflow so as to control a temperature of the airflow within the mattress air chamber. There is also described a mattress. In addition, there is described an apparatus for providing a temperature-controlled airflow through a mattress air chamber connected to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5704084
Abstract: An inflatable mattress is of an elongated plan form and comprises a plurality of inflatable cells also of an elongated form which are disposed contiguously in a row extending along the longitudinal axis of the mattress. Constraints of a tray-like form circle the cells so as to retain them in a position with their upper ends exposed whereby by the upper ends form a resilient support surface. The cells are formed with pleats so that when a body is placed on the resilient upper surface the support surface material is not tensioned substantially. A cell is of a flexible sheet material and comprises an inner sheet disposed between outer sheets. The outer sheets are secured by spot welds to the inner sheets. Inflation air can flow freely between opposite sides of the inner sheets. The spot welds on each side of a cell define a series of sub-cells. The mattress may be "tuned" so as to change the yield characteristics of a cell.
