Patents Assigned to Tate Architectural Products, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4561232
Abstract: A modular tile for an access floor panel system wherein the tile includes a mechanism for positively locating the tile on an access floor panel so as to be replaceable and removable without the use of indexing tools or fixtures through the tile's bottom surface or the panel's top surface and having a configuration which orients the tile to the access floor panel, the size of the tile being consistent and modular with each and every access floor panel in the access floor panel system.

  • Patent number: 4453365
Abstract: An edge trim structure for an access floor panel which includes at least a first and second separate edge trim member wherein each of the first and second separate edge trim members includes a first and second edge trim leg member and at least one continuous, one-piece edge trim corner member interconnecting the first and second edge trim leg member of each edge trim member. A mechanism for attaching each of the edge trim members to the panel is utilized which may include an adhesive member and/or at least one securing member integrally projecting from each of the edge trim members and operably engaging the panel.

  • Patent number: 4411121
Abstract: A structural steel member and composite panel including the same and having a sheet of industrial steel having formed therein a pattern of dome-like projections, extending from the plane of the sheet, and of which at least the major portion of each projection is substantially circular in plan view and the projections are arranged in a geometric pattern that substantially limits the elongation of the material to the areas defined by the circular configurations, the dome-like projections also having formed in the peak areas thereof small truncated cones having a flattened uppermost planar surface, parallel to the original plane of said sheet, providing superior overall depth and increased resistance to crushing.

  • Patent number: 4203268
Abstract: A structural member comprising a sheet of industrial material in which is formed a plurality of dome-like projections of which at least the major portion of the configuration thereof in plan view is circular and said projections being located in the plane of said sheet in a structurally strategic geometric pattern which repeatedly blocks straight lines of vision across said sheet through said pattern of projections in all directions to form a one-piece rigid structural member capable of resistance to flexure and the intermediate portion of the sheet between said projections comprising arcuate continuous structural stress-resisting sections extending between the opposite edges of said member. Variations in patterns of projections comprise different embodiments of said member and, when fabricated, said member lends itself to a variety of end uses. When in the form of a composite panel, a flat sheet of planar material is affixed to the upper ends of said projections.
