Abstract: A gate control system includes an authentication device and a gate control device. The authentication device specifies a card number of a credit card of a user of a gaming facility, performs a credit inquiry of the credit card using the card number, and transmits permission information indicating that the gate should be opened to the gate control device when a result of the credit inquiry indicates that using the credit card is approved. Upon receiving the permission information from the authentication device, the gate control device opens the gate.

Abstract: A transaction management apparatus is provided, which comprises a request receiving section receiving a transaction request containing a transaction requesting amount indicating an amount of a transaction of local credits used by a user in a limited environment and a user's identification information; a storing section storing a first balance and a second balance, corresponding to the identification information, the first balance indicating a balance of first credit and the second balance indicating a balance of second credit with a larger limitation of use purposes than the first credit; a judging section judging whether the transaction is allowed based on a result of comparing the transaction requesting amount with the first and second balance corresponding to the identification information; and a managing section changing the first and second balance stored in the storing section based on the transaction requesting amount, when the judging section judges the transaction is allowed.

Abstract: There is provided a mail distributing apparatus, a program and a mail transmitting method capable of shortening an average wait time for completing transmission of mails. The mail distributing apparatus has a transmission recording section for recording the date and time when a mail has been successfully transmitted last per mailing address, an address selecting section for selecting the addresses to which the mails have been successfully transmitted last on the date and time within a predetermined period by making reference to the transmission recording section when it is commanded to distribute mails to a plurality of addresses and a transmitting section for transmitting the mails to the addresses selected by the address selecting section at first and then transmitting the mails to the other addresses.

Abstract: A service providing system for improving convenience of users by quickly executing a membership registration process in a system in which plural shops and groups jointly administrate its members. In the system, an external reading/writing unit stores a write data table in which provider-side data is correlated with information notification level, a portable information terminal enables the user to select the information notification level in accordance to a control of a portable terminal-side application and writes user-side data correlated with the information notification level selected by the user in the notification data table and the information notification level selected by the user to a non-contact IC. The external reading/writing unit reads the user-side data and the information notification level out of the non-contact IC, stores the user-side data and writes the provider-side data correlated with the information notification level in the write data table to the non-contact IC.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to build an environment which provides adequate merits to both users and providers of applications and which enables distribution of various applications from providers to users. The status of payment of a predetermined usage fee which the user of each cellular phone must pay for a predetermined period is stored. Further, the status of usage of each application is detected. A license fee to be paid to the provider of the application is calculated on the basis of a ground total of usage fees and the usage status of the application and is output.
