  • Patent number: 10310875
Abstract: An interpreter desk for a conferencing system is presented comprising a first interface configured to select an audio input channel from a plurality of audio input channels. Each corresponding to a different language, from which selected audio input channel a translation into a target language is to be performed. A processing unit is arranged to suggest one or more audio input channels and corresponding language as a source language for translation into the target language, based on at least one user preference and an indication of the quality of the different languages.

  • Patent number: 10291387
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for configuring an infrared audio transmission system comprising a signal generator and a plurality of radiators connected to said signal generator, the method comprising at least one of said plurality of radiators: receiving (1050) a delay compensation configuration message; and storing (1060) an amount of delay to be introduced into subsequently radiated signals in accordance with the received delay compensation configuration message. The invention also pertains to a configuration node (100) for configuring radiators in such a system, configured to: transmit (1010) at least one test signal to the radiators; detect (1020) events triggered by the test signal; determine (1030) respective transmission delays between the node and the radiators on the basis of these reflections; and transmit (1040) a delay compensation configuration message over said network, the delays being included in the delay compensation configuration message.

  • Publication number: 20180097857
Abstract: The invention pertains to a method for configuring a wireless conferencing system comprising conference terminals, each being equipped with a transceiver adapted to operate in an omnidirectional and a directional mode. In a discovery phase, for each pair of conference terminals, the directions in which direct wireless signal exchange is possible are discovered by pairwise operating a the terminals in omnidirectional and directional mode, one terminal being operated so as to vary a direction of operation. A direction in which direct signal exchange is possible is selected as an active transmission direction. In an operational phase, signals are sent between the conference terminals, using the active transmission direction. In a recovery phase, a second direction is selected as a new active transmission direction, and signals are sent between the terminals, using the new active transmission direction. The invention also pertains to a corresponding computer program product and system.
