Patents Assigned to Tensor, B.V.
  • Patent number: 7074198
Abstract: Methods for treatment and prevention of disorders resulting from hypertension of neck and shoulder muscles, in particular hypertension of the scalenius muscles, comprise administering a training regime to a subject suffering from the disorders, whereby the training regime comprises manipulating an object while maintaining a pinch-grip force exerted by the fingers on the object below a given threshold value. The object preferably has a pressure sensor that generates a signal when the pinch-grip force exceeds the threshold value. The object may be a writing instrument whereby the training may comprise writing exercises.

Abstract: Operating device such as a mouse for operating a computer or the like. This device consists of a flat bearing surface on which a bulbous part has been arranged. This bulbous part consists of three (curved) surfaces, a surface for the palm of the hand for supporting the metacarpus/carpus, a central surface for supporting the proximal phalanges of the fingers and a distal surface for supporting the medial and distal phalanges. According to the present invention, the distal surface is made at an angle of approximately 75° with respect to the bearing surface. As a result of this angle there is optimum support for the fingers over the entire contour and it is possible to prevent RSI-like phenomena by preventing lifting movements of the fingers, which in the long term give rise to RSI-like phenomena.

  • Patent number: 6774331
Abstract: A pressure-sensitive switch, includes: an edge structure extending in a substantially closed contour; a first carrier which is connected on its edges to the edge structure and which is electrically conductive on its side connected to the edge structure; a second carrier which is connected on its edges to the edge structure and which extends substantially parallel to the first carrier and is electrically conductive on its side connected to the structure; and connecting elements for connecting the external connections to the first and the second carrier, wherein the distance between the carriers in their neutral position is substantially the same over the whole surface by a spacer which holes or by a set of spacers attached to at least one of the carriers. Owing to this uniform spacing between the carriers the switch is identical over its whole active surface, so that no local aberrations such as dimples have to be made. The switch can hereby be miniaturized more easily.
