Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for increasing the expression of a protein in cells, preferably in eukaryotic cells, by reducing the number of RNase L cleavage sites in the coding and/or non-coding region of the nucleic acid sequence of said protein. Furthermore, it relates to nucleic acid sequences exhibiting a reduced number of RNase L cleavage sites as well as to the proteins translated from such sequences.

Also, a pyrazolyl compound that is 3-(5?-hydroxymethyl-2?-furyl)-1-benzylindazole (YC-1) for use as a medicament in a disease or disorder, preferably for the treatment, reversal or the attenuation of reactive gliosis, and/or reactive gliosis directly or indirectly associated with an eye disease, disease of the retina, or retinal disorder. Abstract: This invention is concerned with the use of date syrup used as a binder (agglutinant) for solid dosage forms, such as tablets. The features of the granules and the tablets have been studied in comparison with granules and tablets which use different types of agglutinants such as starch paste and sucrose syrup and the results have shown that the use of date syrup as a binder for tablets yields results superior to other kinds of binders. In addition, date syrups gives the granules and tablets a fair color, good taste, distinct and pleasant odor, and it is favorable in regards to shape and taste by patients.

Abstract: The present invention refers to a rapid immunochromatographic test device for antigen detection, comprising a first and a second conjugate releasing pad, wherein the first conjugate pad comprises a gold conjugated protein linked first oligonucleotide and a gold conjugated antigen specific antibody, and the second conjugate pad comprises a gold conjugated protein linked second oligonucleotide, which second oligonucleotide is complementary to the first oligonucleotide. The present invention further refers to a use of such test device for antigen detection in urine or saliva, e.g. human choriogonadotropin (hCG) in urine.
