  • Patent number: 6162161
Abstract: There is described a splitting machine for corrugated board profiles being moved, this machine comprising advancement mechanism (2, 9) for stacks (4) of cardboard sheets; and a splitting device (11) for the stacks (4) composed of an upper ram (23a) and a lower ram (23b) with vertical axes that are offset one from the other, that come in contact simultaneously and on opposite sides with surfaces of the stacks (4) to exert thereon the splitting action. The rams (23a, 23b) are assembled on their respective eccentric shafts (27a, 27b) and can be divided into a plurality of rams (23a',23a"; 23b',23b") that are mutually offset by 180.degree. along the circumference of the eccentric shafts (27a, 27b). This splitting machine allows the stacks (4) to never stop along the movement line and allows splitting profiles with a particular shape.

  • Patent number: 5857394
Abstract: A sheet-refeeding system for vacuum-refeeding sheets in printing and die cutting machines includes a supporting structure and a plurality of boxes containing fans, located on the supporting structure above a sheet-conveying line. The system further has sheet-dragging knurled rollers positioned in slits formed in a conveying plate which in turn has rows of small holes to let air pass therethrough. The system has a central conveying line and at least two side lines. Each line has a plurality of idle guide rollers. Longitudinal sheet-guiding plates are installed between the sides of the idle rollers. Toothed belts are positioned between the lines of idle guide rollers. The belts have on their external surfaces small sheet-dragging blocks, which are installed with such pitch and such speed as to adjust a phase of the sheets moving on the belts to the location of a die cutting cylinder installed downstream of the sheet-refeeding system without interference with the rear sides of the sheets.

  • Patent number: 5676362
Abstract: A vacuum-type transport device, used in cardboard printing units, comprising: a support structure; a suction hood; a vacuum fan; a plurality of plates on the lower surface of the suction hood; a first and a second plurality of belt-type conveyor means, with a pressure cylinder between them, that protrude from windows obtained in the lower surface of the suction hood; and motoring means for the device. The pressure cylinder is located next to the printing cylinder and the sheets of material to be printed pass between these cylinders and are dragged away by the belt-type conveyor means.

  • Patent number: 5638733
Abstract: A rotary die cutter unit with rapid die connection has a die equipped with connecting bars, and a die-holding cylinder. The die-holding cylinder has longitudinal grooves with openings receiving the bars when connecting the die to the die-holding cylinder. Connecting teeth, which are housed in the openings of the grooves, circumferentially move on the cylinder, and assume a non-connected position in which they are completely moved out from the grooves, and a connected position in which they protrude into the grooves. Control elements corresponding to the grooves are provided, having small irregular teeth with one of the two sides whose height is progressively decreasing in the form of a chute. The control elements, when longitudinally moving, act on roller bearings to gradually move the connecting teeth between their two extreme connected and non-connected positions.
