  • Patent number: 11990307
Abstract: An electron gun includes: a cathode, which has a cathode holder and a cathode body; and a Wehnelt cylinder. The cathode holder receives the cathode body and the Wehnelt cylinder is suitable for bundling free electrons, which can escape from the cathode body toward the Wehnelt cylinder, to form an electron beam. The Wehnelt cylinder is interlockingly arranged, at least in some parts along a first inner surface facing the cathode holder, on an outer surface of the cathode holder and at least partly extends around the cathode holder.

  • Patent number: 11854759
Abstract: An arrangement of conduction-cooled travelling wave tubes includes multiple travelling wave tubes mounted on a common base, wherein the travelling wave tubes are thermally connected to the base so that during operation of the travelling wave tubes the base forms a heat sink for the travelling wave tubes, and the base is designed to accommodate multiple travelling wave tubes in terms of their dimensions along their beam axes so as to increase the number of travelling wave tubes per surface area unit of the base.

  • Patent number: 10444095
Abstract: At least one fiber-optic sensor unit measures a mechanical variable which affects a rail having a certain length and a neutral axis that extends along said length of the rail. The at least one fiber-optic sensor unit is disposed at an angle of 30° to 60°, in particular 45°, relative to the neutral axis or at an angle of ?30° to ?60°, in particular ?45°, relative to the neutral axis. The at least one fiber-optic sensor unit is irradiated with primary light in order to generate a signaling light in a reflection mode or transmission mode. The intensity of the signaling light is sensed. The signaling light is evaluated.

  • Patent number: 10144439
Abstract: A method for operating an axle counter system for monitoring the occupation status of a track section being limited by counting positions which have at least one detection point and at least one counting position a set of redundant detection points, includes the steps of: (a) incrementing or decrementing axle counter values in dependence of the moving direction of a passing axle; (b) transmitting the axle counter value to an axle counter evaluator; (c) determining the number of remaining axles within the track section; and (d) outputting a track occupation status. Prior to step (c) for each counting position exactly one detection point is selected for further processing independent of the selection at any other counting position. In step (c) the counter values of the selected detection points are used for determining the number of remaining axles and the counter values of the non-selected redundant detection points are ignored.

  • Patent number: 9689980
Abstract: The invention refers to a secondary surveillance radar, referred to hereinafter as SSR, system (1) for air traffic control. The SSR-system (1) comprises a plurality of secondary radar stations (2) and is adapted for determining a location of an air traffic vehicle within the range of coverage of at least some of the secondary radar stations (2) by means of propagation time measurement of data signals (8) transmitted between the secondary radar stations (2) and a transponder (9) of the air traffic vehicle. Each of the secondary radar stations (2) works on a synchronized local time base. In order to provide for a high-precision synchronisation of the radar stations (2) of the SSR system (1) free of clusters, it is suggested that an SSR system's (1) secondary radar station (2) is synchronized depending on the content of synchronisation signals (10) received by the secondary radar station (2) to be synchronized and broadcast by one of the other secondary radar stations (2) of the SSR system (1).

  • Patent number: 9599763
Abstract: A traffic light luminaire includes at least one light source, a collimating device for collimating light emitted by the at least one light source, and a light distribution device for spreading the collimated light within a specific solid angle with a specific luminous intensity distribution. The light source is a high brightness light source, and the light distribution device is a microstructured distributor having a micro-structured surface, wherein each equal-sized macroscopic section of the microstructured distributor contributes to the luminous intensity distribution in the same way within said whole specified solid angle. Thereby a low maintenance traffic light luminaire is provided which generates a homogeneous light distribution for a variety of trail arrangements (right curve, left curve, straight line) independent of the distance of the viewer.

  • Patent number: 8453976
Abstract: An inventive detector detects movement of a railway vehicle in a powerless time interval. At its beginning, indicator items or first magnetic antagonists of detection cells are lifted by actuators to a switching device, which provides at least one holding section or second magnetic antagonist for a part of the indicator items which then stick to or near to the switching device by magnetic force. The switching device, though, is movably mounted and coupled to the railway vehicle's movement, so the holding section moves relative the detection cells if the railway vehicle moves. As a result, detection cells from which the holding section moves away experience a drop of the indicator item due to gravity. By means of sensors, such a drop is detected at the end of the time interval and used for cold movement indication.

  • Patent number: 8237606
Abstract: A system includes a pulsed UHF radar for integrating the signal received over a given integration time. The integration time for the received signal and the size of the distance bin are defined in such a way that, taking into account the range of speeds of the targets of interest, a moving target of interest travels only a distance shorter than the size of the distance bin from one integration period to another. Furthermore, the UHF radar implements a method of forming radar blips from the received signal to form elementary blips from the signals received over the chosen integration time and to store them from one burst to another. The method also confirms that the elementary blips formed probably correspond to targets of interest and then forms, from the confirmed elementary blips, aggregate blips, the attributes of an aggregate blip depending on the attributes of the confirmed elementary blips from which the aggregate blip stems.
