The first extension is configured to be stored in the compartment, and is further configured to project outward relative to the seat when in an extended configuration of the first extension. The second extension is configured to be stored in the compartment with the first extension, and is further configured to project outward relative to the first extension when in an extended configuration of the second extension. The lift mechanism is configured to raise and lower the seat, the compartment, and the first and second extensions. The base is coupled to the lift mechanism. The storage section, formed in the base, is disposed behind the seat, where an internal dimension of the compartment is limited by the positioning of the storage section.

The extension section of the assembly has an efficient design that allows for the assembly to be easily changed from an extension section to a kneeler. A latching mechanism to hold the assembly in an extended position outwardly from the table is designed separately from the guide mechanism that move the assembly into a kneeler configuration.
