    Abstract: A wipe formed of a base layer and a secondary layer. The wipe has an initial caliper of at least about 0.5 mm, a basis weight of less than about 55 gsm and a % DIB of about 20-95%. The base layer is formed of a non-biodegradable material such as thermoplastic polymer and the secondary layer is formed of a biodegradable material such as wood pulp, cellulose and/or regenerated cellulose. The top surface of the secondary layer generally includes a non-uniform distribution of fibers.
