    Abstract: The invention concerns a paper comprising a damask embossed pattern (23) on at least one of its surfaces, said pattern (23) being produce by the combination of at least a base (24) and at least an inlaid zone (25), the base in the inlaid zone having differently oriented and shaped wools. The invention further concerns a method for making said paper and cloth for implementing the method. The invention is particularly applicable to printing and/or writing paper.
