Abstract: The invention discloses a novel implant provided with a macroporous surface on the top surface, and a method for the production of such a metallic and/or ceramic implant having a textured, particularly porous, surface for the at least partial insertion in hard tissue, such as in a bone, and/or into soft tissue. The implant is produced as a green compact, at least in sections, using a cold isostatic pressing, casting, and/or injecting (CIM, MIM) with subsequent sintering to obtain an implant, and is particularly characterized in that the surface is modified and/or prepared before sintering such that a macroporous surface is present after sintering without requiring any finishing.

Abstract: A torque wrench (1) is embodied as a ratchet instrument in the medical field. A catch segment (40) which can be displaced in a defined manner is arranged on the periphery of the receiving opening, and the front part thereof is oriented towards the receiving opening. When the torque wrench (1) is actuated in a forward direction, the torque which is to be generated is applied by a forward force (F) exerted by an user, by a deflectable, preferably linear-elastic flexible arm (7). A catch spring extends from the catch segment into the neck area. The catch segment and the catch spring form a single-pieced or several part catch (4). The catch segment and the catch spring are arranged in a channel-shaped space (5). The catch (4) is a single-piece with the neck part or is fixed thereto as a separate component.
Abstract: The invention relates to a dental implant, which comprises a coating at least in those surface areas that come into contact with hard and/or soft tissue when implanted. To ensure that the active ingredient contained in the coating (bisphosphonate) is released into the surrounding tissue or can act in the latter in a controlled manner at the correct speed, the coating is characterised in that it contains bisphosphonate, the respective pharmaceutically compatible salts or esters of the latter, in addition to at least one amphiphilic component, selected from the group containing branched or linear, substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or partially unsaturated C10-C30 alkyl-, alkenyl, alkylaryl-, aryl-, cycloalkyl-, alkylcycloalkyl-, alkylcycloaryl-carboxylates, -phosphates or -sulfates or mixtures thereof and/or a water-soluble ionic polymer component.

Abstract: The invention relates to a ceramic implant, especially a dental implant, comprising a structured or porous surface for at least partially inserting into a bone. An especially advantageous surface is obtained when it is at least partially modified by a salt melt. These excellent osteointegration properties can be obtained by a method whereby the surface is modified in a salt melt at least in the regions exposed to the bones and/or soft tissue, optionally following a previous modification of the surface whereby material has been removed.
