Patent number: 9187851Abstract: A stitch-bonded fabric construction in which broadly spaced parallel linear stitch lines are applied through a very low weight fibrous substrate to stabilize the substrate in the machine direction. Texture is imparted by applying significant overfeed conditions to the stitching substrate thereby causing a substantial bunching of the substrate at the stitching position. The resulting product has an arrangement of alternating ridges and valleys running predominantly in the cross-machine direction. The stabilizing linear stitch lines lock in the puckered texture.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2012Date of Patent: November 17, 2015Assignee: Tietex International Ltd.Inventors: Martin Wildeman, Lori Shannon Sears

Publication number: 20150272418Abstract: A cleaning pad structure of stitch bonded construction incorporating one or more substrate layers of an absorbent nonwoven material with an optional additional fluid blocking substrate layer of polymer film or other suitable material in juxtaposed relation to the absorbent nonwoven layers. Stitching yarns are introduced in stitching relation through the substrate layers. One face of the pad defines a cleaning surface of raised yarn loops formed by the stitched yarns. The pad further includes an attachment surface facing away from the cleaning surface. The stitches of yarns across the attachment surface define an engagement surface for attachment to cooperating hooking elements across a surface of a mop head to define a hook and loop attachment system.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2015Publication date: October 1, 2015Applicant: Tietex International Ltd.Inventor: Martin Wildeman

Publication number: 20140352094Abstract: A textile applicator for application of a sanitizing and/or disinfecting solution to a surface. The applicator incorporates a plurality of direct spun polyester microfiber yarns to define a textile surface which does not bind or inactivate quaternary ammonium compounds, chlorine-based or peracetic and/or other peroxygen based sanitizing and/or disinfecting agents. Thus, the sanitizing and/or disinfecting agent is readily released to the surface being treated without any requirement of pre-loading surface binding sites or applying a charge-modifying surface treatment.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2014Publication date: December 4, 2014Applicant: TIETEX INTERNATIONAL LTD.Inventors: Martin Wildeman, David R. Patent number: 8834984Abstract: A disinfecting cleaning wipe of stitch-bonded construction. The wipe includes a stitching substrate of fibrous nonwoven material having a mass per unit area of not more than 30 grams per square meter. A first plurality of stitching yarns is disposed in stitched relation through the stitching substrate in a pattern of substantially parallel linear stitch lines extending in a first direction across the stitching substrate. At least a second plurality of stitching yarns is disposed in stitched relation through the stitching substrate in a repeating zigzag pattern to define a first group of surface yarn float segments extending diagonally between stitch positions at opposing linear stitch lines. A disinfecting solution at least partially saturates the cleaning wipe.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2010Date of Patent: September 16, 2014Assignee: Tietex International, LtdInventor: Martin Wildeman
