Abstract: A roller and cage assembly comprising a base surface having an inner circumferential edge and an outer circumferential edge. A plurality of inner wall segments extending from the inner circumferential edge with an opening provided between adjacent inner wall segments. A plurality of outer wall segments extending from the outer circumferential edge with an opening provided between adjacent outer wall segments. The inner and outer wall segments extend perpendicular to the base surface with the respective inner and outer openings aligned to define roller pockets positioned between the inner and outer wall segments. A plurality of rollers are positioned in the roller pockets. A plurality of retention tabs extend from the inner or outer wall segments parallel to the base and are aligned with the roller pockets such that the tabs axially retain the rollers.

  • Publication number: 20040129091
Abstract: A device for determining the absolute angular position of a turning device with respect to a fixed structure, including an encoder provided with a main multipolar track and a multipolar track called “top turn”, said top turn track includes M singularities which are distributed angularly so that the top turn signal (C) is arranged so as to define, in conjunction with the signals A and B, the binary sequences which are each representative of an absolute angular position of the encoder. The invention also concerns a steering system for automobiles as well as a bearing including such a device.

  • Publication number: 20040113382
Abstract: A device for determining the absolute angular position of a turning device with respect to a fixed structure, including an encoder provided with a main multipolar track and a multipolar track called “top turn”, said top turn track includes M singularities, a means for measuring the angular position of the turning device with an angular uncertainty T, in which the M singularities are each representative of an absolute angular position of the turning device and are distributed over the top turn track with an angular separation between each one greater that 2T. The invention also concerns a steering system for automobiles as well as a bearing including such a device.
