Abstract: Inlet check valves and methods can include a seat body, a movable disc, a spring, and a disc retention cage. The disc retention cage captures the movable disc to the seat body through retention elements, which engage in a groove circumferentially disposed around a flange of the seat body. The movable disc has a stem on the outlet side, which guides the movement of the disc by engaging with a through-hole in the disc retention cage. A compression spring maintains the movable disc in a normally closed position against the seat body.

Abstract: Duplex fluid strainers, systems and methods are provided, and include a housing with a first valve chamber defining an inlet port, a first port, and a second port, and a second valve chamber defining a third port, a fourth port, and an outlet port. The first and third ports communicate with a first strainer chamber, and the second and fourth ports communicate with a second strainer. A first seal assembly includes a first disk movable within the first valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the first port or the second port, and a second seal assembly includes a second disk movable within the second valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the third port or the fourth port.
Abstract: The present subject matter relates to check valve apparatuses and methods. In particular, the present subject matter relates to a flow control device that can be incorporated into a check valve. The flow control device can include a valve seat configured for positioning within an inlet of a check valve, the valve seat defining an opening, a plurality of flow routing vanes at least partially traversing the opening, and a disk movable between a first position and a second position in response to a fluid pressure. When the disk is in the first position, the disk blocks the opening of the valve seat, and when the disk is in the second position, the opening is substantially unobstructed. The flow routing vanes can function to smooth the flow of fluid into the valve, thereby reducing pressure drop, noise, erosion, corrosion, vibration, and cavitations.
Abstract: A fluid strainer is disclosed for use in a fluid piping system, the fluid strainer having a first valve chamber and a second valve chamber. The first valve chamber can have a strainer inlet and contain first and second angled members, and the second valve chamber can have a strainer outlet and contain third and fourth angled members. A first pivotable seal can be movable within the first valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the first or second angled members, and a second pivotable seal can be movable within the second valve chamber into sealing engagement against either of the third or fourth angled members. A first strainer chamber can be in communication with the first angled member and the third angled member, and a second strainer chamber can be in communication with the second angled member and the fourth angled member.
