Patent number: 5697775Abstract: A safety device in a lighting rod comprises a locking member having an engagement section, which interferes with a portion of an operation member and thereby locks the lighting operation of the operation member. The locking member can move in a direction, that intersects with the direction along which the operation member moves. An urging member urges the locking member to a locking direction. The locking member is provided with a lock releasing section, which can be operated in order to move the locking member in a direction, that acts against the urging force of the urging member. The lock releasing section is projected to a position, which stands facing the operating section of the operation member. The lock of the lighting operation is released by operating the lock releasing section of the locking member, and the locking operation is carried out in this state by operating the operating section of the operation member.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 1995Date of Patent: December 16, 1997Assignee: Tokai CorporationInventors: Masaki Saito, Toshihiro Ichikawa

Patent number: 5555905Abstract: A cassette type gas cylinder, containing liquefied fuel gas, for giving an alarm when the volume of remaining fuel is reduced to a predetermined level or less in order to provide an advanced notice of replacement of the gas cylinder with a simple structure using burst energy of discharged gas. A valve 12 for opening and closing the discharge of liquefied gas is arranged at the center on one end of a container body 11a. A gas flow channel 17, with one end thereof opened into a gas space formed above the level of the fuel when the gas cylinder is laid horizontally, is connected to the valve 12. A vibrating member 27, for producing a sound when vibrated and caused to collide with a body by the burst of the fuel gas, is disposed in the gas flow channel 17. This vibrating member 27 is connected to a damping member 38 by means of a coupling member 29. The damping member 38 is located below a predetermined level of the liquefied fuel gas, and is subjected to resistance while moving in the liquefied fuel gas.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1994Date of Patent: September 17, 1996Assignee: Tokai CorporationInventors: Hideo Mifune, Yasuaki Nakamura

Patent number: 5458482Abstract: A gas lighter with a safety device is provided with a resilient leaf which can be deformed between a locked state in which the depression of a pressing means is prevented and a lock-released state in which the operation of the pressing means is allowed, and a slide member which is fitted around the resilient leaf and is movable between a first position where ignition operation is impracticable when the resilient leaf is in a locked state and a second position where the ignition operation is practicable. The slide member deforms the resilient leaf and renders it in a lock-released state at a third position which is reached during movement from the second position to the first position in response to ignition operation.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 1994Date of Patent: October 17, 1995Assignee: Tokai CorporationInventors: Masaki Saito, Toshihiro Ichikawa

Patent number: 5456929Abstract: Liquid contents such as water are stored in a heat-resisting can body having an openable section formed on an upper part thereof. Other material is stored within the can body while being separated from the liquid contents and, when the can body is heated above a predetermined temperature with the openable section opened, the separation between the stored material and the liquid is removed and the liquid can come in contact with the stored material. When the openable section is closed while the can body is heated, the stored material is kept separate from the liquid even during a sterilizing process but, when the can body is heated with the openable section opened, the separation between the stored material and the liquid is removed, and consequently the contents are mixed together. This permits the stored material to be preserved from the liquid until the contents of the can body are ready for use.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 1993Date of Patent: October 10, 1995Assignee: Tokai CorporationInventors: Hideo Mifune, Tomio Nitta, Tsutomu Shike
