Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vaultless format-preserving tokenization system and method that securely converts sensitive data into a non-sensitive format while maintaining the original structure. The process includes encoding the original data, generating a secure modification based on a predetermined format by encoding another input and combining it with a unique hashing key, applying a special encryption technique that incorporates the encoded data, secure modification, and a unique encryption key to produce an encoded version of the data, and finally creating a token from the encoded data to be used in place of the original sensitive information.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to network gateway based messaging systems and methods. Some methods include transparent message processing that includes receiving a message from a first party that includes a payload and a token. The token is associated with sensitive information. Next, the method includes replacing the token with the sensitive information within the message and forwarding the message with the sensitive information to a second party. The payload is unaffected by the token exchange process.

Abstract: Systems and methods for tokenization to support pseudonymization are provided herein. An example method includes receiving an input set, seeding a random number generator with one or more secret data, transposing the input set using a first random number/transposition parameter generated by the random number generator to create a transposed input set, transposing a token set using a second random number/transposition parameter generated by the random number generator to create a transposed token set, and generating a token by substituting transposed input set values with transposed token set values.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to vaultless format-preserving tokenization systems and methods. Some methods include encoding a first data set to produce encoded input data; generating a secure tweak for the encoded input data based on a token format schema by: encoding a tweak input to produce an encoded tweak input; and hashing the encoded tweak input along with a unique hashing key to generate the secure tweak; applying a format preserving encryption algorithm that utilizes the encoded input data, the secure tweak, and a unique encryption key to generate ciphertext output; and generating a token from the ciphertext output.
