Abstract: A hybrid cover for use in the construction of a pet bed that may make use of a used pillow for a cushioning member in conjunction with the hybrid cover in constructing the pet bed. The hybrid cover includes a bed portion and a flap portion that may be disposed in an overlapping and non-overlapping position with respect to the bed portion. A pillow may be provided in an interior space of the bed portion. The pillow may have a scent that is smellable at an exterior of the hybrid cover when a pet bed is constructed using the hybrid cover and the pillow.

Abstract: A brush that is adapted to remove hair from a domestic animal, such as a dog or cat. The brush includes a rotatable bristle pad having a plurality of bristles for removal of loose hair from the animal. A cleaning comb is disposed proximal to the bristles such that the cleaning comb overlaps the bristles to remove hair from within the bristles during use. The removal of hair from within the bristles advantageously reduces clogging of the bristles and maintains the ability of the bristles to remove additional hair.

Abstract: A rope chew toy particularly adapted for domestic animals such as dogs. The rope chew toy includes rope strands that are braided around an attractant to form a braided rope segment having the attractant partially disposed within the braided rope segment. The attractant can be an animal by-product or similar treat that attracts and encourages the dog to chew upon the braided rope segment.

Abstract: Combination grooming scissors that are particularly adapted for the grooming of an animal. The grooming scissors include a hair cutting portion and a hair thinning portion in one device. The thinning portion of the grooming scissors can be disposed nearest the pivot point of the scissors and the cutting portion can be disposed nearest the end tip of the scissors. This enables the scissors to be used to thin the hair of the animal without cutting the hair. The tip of the scissors is advantageously blunt to prevent inadvertent stabbing of the animal during use.

Abstract: A pet bed such as a dog bed having a filler material that includes a fiber batt, the fiber batt having been formed by garnetting fibers to form a fiber web and cross-lapping the fiber web to form the fiber batt. The bed is advantageously resistant to wear and is resistant to the formation of depressions in the bed by the pet. A method for making the pet bed is also provided.
