    Abstract: A photoresist composition comprising:a resin soluble in an aqueous alkaline solution, having units of an aliphatic cyclic hydrocarbon main frame and units derived from maleic anhydride and/or units derived from a maleimide; anda photosensitive agent in a sufficient amount to promote or hinder the solubility of said resin in an aqueous alkaline solution upon exposure to active radiation so as to create a substantial difference in the solubility as between an exposed portion and a non-exposed portion and to form a positive or negative image by subsequent development with an aqueous alkaline solution.

    Abstract: A catalyst comprising a Y zeolite of which silica/alumina molar ratio ranges from 15 to 110, use of this catalyst for alkylation of monoisopropylnaphthalene and a method for preparation of this catalyst comprising treating a Y zeolite with an acid(s) to adjust the silica/alumina molar ratio to 15 to 110 are disclosed. A method for preparation of mono and/or diisopropylnaphthalenes comprising reacting naphthalene and/or monoisopropylnaphthalene with propylene in the presence of at least one saturated polycarbocyclic compounds and a catalyst comprising a Y zeolite having the silica/alumina molar ratio of from 10 to 350 are disclosed. This catalyst makes possible the production of .beta.-monoisopropylnaphthalene in good yield by alkylation of naphthalene and the production of .beta.-monoisopropylnaphthalene and/or 2,6- and 2,7-diisopropylnaphthalenes in good yield by alkylation of naphthalene and/or monoisopropylnaphthalene in good percent conversion.

    Abstract: A liquid supply apparatus comprising a mixing tank provided with a stirring means for stirring a liquid mixture, an electrode for measuring the hydrogen ion concentration of the liquid mixture, a plurality of supply liquid tanks for storing different supply liquids, a liquid supply section for supplying the supply liquids to the mixing tank, a supply control section for controlling the amounts of the supply liquids to be supplied at the liquid supply section based on a difference between a preliminary memorized initially the value and a measured value signaled from the electrode and on the amounts of the supply liquids supplied to the mixing tank, conduits connecting the supply liquid tanks and the liquid supply section and a conduit connecting the liquid supply section and the mixing tank.
