Abstract: A method of indicating a time or a temperature-time accumulated value as a color change (degree of color development), which comprises providing an oxidation-polymerizable dyestuff and the oxidizing agent in a non-contact state and bringing the oxidation-polymerizable dyestuff and the oxidizing agent into contact with each other to polymerize the oxidation-polymerizable dyestuff with the passage of time, and an indicator material therefor.

Abstract: An aqueous coating composition includes: an inorganic particulate substance whose surface is modified with a silane coupling agent having at least one functional group selected from a group consisting of vinyl group, (meth)acryloyl group, epoxy group, and amino group; and an aqueous resin having a functional group which is reactive with the functional group of the silane coupling agent. The aqueous coating composition has excellent storage stability, pigment dispersion, coloring property, adhesion to various substrates, and printing properties, and can be used for various applications, such as printing ink, coating materials, adhesives, fiber treatment agents, surface treatment agents, and the like.
Abstract: A water-dispersed inkjet recording liquid excellent in water resistance and transparency and also excellent in the property of ejection from a nozzle, containing, as a colorant, a water-based dispersion of an organic pigment (A) having an average particle diameter of 10 to 150 nm (measured by laser scattering), the water-based dispersion of the organic pigment (A) being obtained by mechanically kneading a mixture containing at least three components, said components being, the organic pigment (A), a water-soluble inorganic salt (B) in an amount by weight at least three times as large as the amount of the organic pigment (A) and a water-soluble solvent (C) to finely mill the organic pigment (A), and then removing the water-soluble inorganic salt (B) and the water-soluble solvent (C) by washing the kneaded mixture with water, and a process for the production thereof.
Abstract: A star-like or comb-like branched aliphatic polyamino compound for use as a basic catalyst or a curing agent, as an effective thixotropic agent or viscosity adjusting agent for an aqueous medium, as a component for any one of a coating-forming agent, a sealing agent, a molding material and an adhesive resin, or as a substantially solvent-free coating composition, molding material or adhesive resin. The process for the production of the above compound comprises (a) forming an adduct of ammonia or an aliphatic amino compound having an amino group (compound A) with methyl acrylate, adding an alkylenediamine having 2 to 12 carbon atoms to the adduct to carry out an ester-amide exchange reaction (b), thereby obtaining a polyamino compound (B) having a total of 2 to 100 aliphatic primary amino and secondary amino groups per molecule and having a number average molecular weight of 170 to 10,000, and forming an adduct of the polyamino compound (B) with an acrylic acid ester (C) of the formula (1),CH.sub.2 =CHCOO--R.
Abstract: Electrophotographic toners comprising a resin, a colorant, a charge controlling agent and an offset preventing agent. The resin comprises a copolymer containing at least one of phenyl isopropenyl ketone and its derivatives as a constituting monomer. The copolymer is photodegradable and thus the toners can be are used for recycling paper.
Abstract: An aqueous dispersion of an aqueous polyurethane having an ionic functional group, polyoxyethylene units and terminal hydrazine functional groups is provided. Content of the ionic functional group is about 5 to about 180 milliequivalent per 100 g of the aqueous polyurethane, and content of the polyoxyethylene unit is about 20% by weight or less of a weight of the aqueous polyurethane. The aqueous dispersion is used for a composition for ink, coating or adhesive. Storage stability, water resistance, pigment dispersibility, and adhesion to various kinds of substrates, particularly non-polar substrates, of the aqueous dispersion and the composition are excellent.
Abstract: A coating composition is formed from an acid-set coating varnish and a pigment composition. The pigment composition includes a specific organic dyestuff derivative and a specific basic-group-containing resin-type pigment dispersant. The coating composition excels in pigment dispersibility, nonflocculation properties, noncrystallizability and fluidity. When used as a coating, the coating composition has excellent color tone, gloss, hardness, weather resistance, and solvent resistance.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided which can automatically and securely supply a molding machine with natural resin pellets and masterbatch pellets at a predetermined mixture ratio, and which is excellent in performance and costs. A natural resin feeder and a masterbatch feeder are connected to a chute of the molding machine via respective tubes. The amount of the natural resin pellets and the amount of the masterbatch pellets which are air-transferred through the respective tubes are controlled such that they are transferred in accordance with the predetermined mixture ratio. The chute and the raw material supply port of the molding machine is connected by a pipe whose cross-sectional area at the upper portion is substantially equal to or smaller than that at the lower portion thereof. The natural resin feeder and the masterbatch feeder are intermittently operated in accordance with signals from an upper limit level meter and a lower limit level meter provided on the pipe.

Abstract: Printed decorative paper having a three dimensional pattern comprises base paper 1, a printed design layer 2 formed of a water-based ink as an undercoat on a surface of the base paper, an overlying printed design pattern layer 3 formed of a water-based curable ink containing a repellent in harmony with said pattern in the undercoat, and overlying water-based curable topcoat 4 applied to the entire surface of the base paper in such a way that said topcoat in the areas where said printed design pattern layer 3 is formed is repelled to form concavities 5. This printed decorative paper is environment friendly due to the non-use of organic solvents, is enhanced in durability as a interior decor material and can be produced with high efficiency.
