Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating the identity of a user prior to giving access to confidential data at a user interface via a network are described. In an exemplary implementation in an Internet environment, a server hosts an application providing selective access by the user to confidential data related to the user. The user provides initial data to the application as part of a request to access the confidential data. At least one database having the confidential data stored therein is accessed by the server to retrieve confidential data relating to the user located in the database based on the initial data received from the client interface. An authentication function causes the server to transmit to the client interface and present to the user an incomplete portion of the confidential data relating to the user, which is not identical to the initial data, along with at least one other portion of data having a substantially identical format to the incomplete portion of the confidential data.

Embodiments of the present invention allow a first on-line service entity having its own membership model to efficiently collaborate with a second on-line service entity to offer its users the services of the second on-line service entity in a seamless and consistently branded manner. One implementation obviates the need for synchronization of the membership models between the first and second on-line service entities. One implementation allows the second on-line service entity to provide services to the users associated with the first on-line service entity in a seamless manner without the first on-line service entity having to proxy the session between the second online service entity and the users.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems facilitating analysis of expected interest rates and, in some embodiments, other conditions and circumstances associated with a variety of different loan types. In one embodiment, the present invention allows for a network-based application allowing users the ability to assess for what loan interest rates they are eligible based on current interest rate data and credit analysis scores that are used to determine qualifications for one of a variety of interest rates. In one embodiment, the present invention enables a web-based loan rate analysis system that combines credit score analysis with analyses of collateral and debt/income to offer users the ability to learn for what loan interest rates they are eligible when purchasing or refinancing a home.
