Abstract: Using a trick flight control process, a pilot may fly an aircraft while having control over two axes of orientation while the aircraft may be rotating automatically about a third axis of orientation. The pilot may continue to fly the aircraft during an automated trick rather than relinquishing control completely to the aircraft's electronics.

Abstract: A wheel well system and method for a model vehicle are provided. The wheel well system may include a wheel well apparatus having a wheel well configured to fit within a wheel well recess of a model vehicle body. The wheel well comprising body attachment bores, support member bores. The wheel well apparatus may include a support member configured to couple to the wheel well. The wheel well system may also have two wheel wells configured to fit within wheel well recesses and a support member attached to the two wheel wells. The two wheel wells are configured to fixedly couple to the model vehicle body via the body attachment bores. The method may include providing a wheel well fixedly coupled to a support member and fixedly coupling the wheel well to a model vehicle body.
Abstract: A wheel assembly for a model vehicle is provided. The wheel assembly may include a wheel base configured for mounting an R/C vehicle tire and a colored trim piece provided on a facing surface of the wheel base. In addition, the wheel assembly may include a wheel face configured to allow portions of the colored trim piece to be visible when the wheel face is attached to the wheel base. The wheel assembly may also include a hub cap assembly that comprises a hub cap and a retainer. Wherein the hub cap assembly is removably secured against the wheel base via the retainer.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for self-righting a remote controlled model vehicle. The method includes determining a current pitch angle and a current angular rocking rate of the model vehicle. The method further includes accelerating or decelerating a mass on the model vehicle based on the current pitch angle and the current angular rocking rate of the model vehicle to create a rocking motion about a first axis by the model vehicle. In addition, the method may include sensing a rotation about a second axis of the model vehicle and imparting a yaw moment to realign the model vehicle to rock about the first axis. The method may also include terminating the self-righting process when the model vehicle is upright.
