Abstract: A climate control system coupled within an opening of a structure, with the opening separating an internal area within the structure and an exterior area external to the structure, the climate control system straddling the opening. The climate control system includes: an interior unit disposed at the opening within the internal area; an exterior unit disposed at the opening in the exterior area; and a connector between the interior unit and the exterior unit that extends through the opening, the connector including: a circulation hose that extends through the opening to connect the exterior unit and the interior unit, and a controls system configured to operate the interior unit and the exterior unit.

Abstract: A method of installing an air conditioning unit in an opening. The method includes securing a bracket to a sill of the opening between a first and second environment where the bracket has a pivot arm disposed and extending within the first environment. The method also includes positioning a first unit of the air conditioning unit on top of the bracket; moving the first unit on top of the bracket onto the pivot arm; and rotating the pivot arm and first unit downward so that the first unit is disposed in the first environment and extending downward below the sill of the opening.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a heat exchanger array that includes stacking a plurality of heat exchanger units in an aligned configuration with respective first ports of the plurality of heat exchanger units aligned. The method can further include generating heat in the first coupling elements at the same time and at a temperature sufficient to generate a first plurality of respective couplings between adjacent sheets of adjacent heat exchanger units about adjacent first ports and without a coupling being generated between the first and second sheets of a given heat exchanger unit.

Abstract: A roll-diaphragm compressor that includes a compressor head with an interface wall that defines a concave portion and with an apex portion having an inlet port and outlet port. The roll-diaphragm compressor can also include a flexible roll-diaphragm coupled to the compressor head about an edge with the roll-diaphragm driven in a rolling motion against the interface wall. The roll-diaphragm compressor can also include a compression chamber defined by the compressor head and roll-diaphragm that is configured for receiving a fluid via the inlet port in a first state, compressing the fluid based on the volume of the compression chamber being made smaller, and expelling the fluid in a second state via the outlet port.

Abstract: A modular air conditioner is provided that operates on the basic principal of a split system yet allows user serviceability and modular components such that the system is flexible. The system generally includes an outdoor unit, at least one indoor unit and a user serviceable hose that extends between the outdoor and indoor units. The outdoor unit contains a compressor, an air-cooled condenser, a coolant to fluid heat exchanger, a fan and various other components such as controls. While the indoor unit contains a fan, a fluid pump, a cold fluid storage tank and a fluid to air heat exchanger. Finally, the hose is a detachable hose that includes three lumens therein that act as a cold fluid supply, a fluid return and wiring for power and control signals.
