Abstract: A splicing member for sealing a crimped wire splice sleeve without application of high temperatures or chemical reactions is disclosed. The splicing member includes a cylindrical locking member having one or more lock tabs and/or one or more retaining clips. The lock tabs and/or retaining clips are engaged by the insertion of a crimped wire splice sleeve into the splicing member and lock the crimped wire splice sleeve into the splicing member. A rubber sheath is formed around the cylindrical locking member including sealing sections having parallel circular openings concentric with the outer surface of the sheath. The sealing sections prevent environmental conditions from reaching the crimped wire splice sleeve locked inside the cylindrical locking member. For example, moisture is prevented from reaching the crimped wire splice sleeve.

Abstract: A connector terminal is disclosed including a cylindrical socket body with a spring contact inserted therein. The spring contact has a distal portion that establishes a press fit with the socket body. The socket body may be crimped over the distal portion to more securely hold the spring contact in the socket body. The spring contact further has a plurality of fingers which taper forwardly and inwardly to resiliently grab a male pin as it enters the socket.

Abstract: A pin/socket contact is made from two contact parts, namely, a pin/socket member and a tail/coupling member. The pin/socket member has a blind bore therein for receiving a stub portion on the tail/coupling member. Burrs on the stub portion hold the tail/coupling and pin/socket members together. The pin/socket member can be standardized and inventoried in large quantities to be assembled to a variety of tail/coupling members in which the tail portion is in the form of a PC tail, wire wrap adaptor or a compliant adapter.
