Abstract: A machine and a process for thermal cutting of workpieces has at least one workpiece support (8) for the workpiece, at least one thermal cutting device (2), and at least one machine device (10, 11) to move the workpiece support (8) and the cut product adhering to the workpiece support (8) after the workpiece is cut relative to at least one stop (10) to loosen cut product adhering to the workpiece support (8).
Abstract: A system for identifying tools and/or dies (1, 2, 4) of machine tools and especially of punch presses includes at least one identification marking (6, 7, 8) for each tool and die (1, 2, 4), a scanning device (19) for reading the markings (6, 7, 8), and an evaluation unit for analyzing the scanned data. The markings (6, 7, 8) are removably attached to their associated tools and dies (1, 2, 4) and, when detached, they are accessible to the scanning device (19) for the scanning process. In executing a procedure utilizing the aforementioned system, the markings (6, 7, 8) associated with the tools and dies (1, 2, 4) are detached from these tools and dies (1, 2, 4) and are subsequently scanned. The scanned data can be processed by the machine tool computer to facilitate its efficient operation.
Abstract: A machine tool for processing sheet metal workpieces which has a bending station and a joining station between which the workpiece is moved. The bending station has a positioning stop for the positioning of the workpiece relative to the bending tools, and the stop is movable in controlled fashion by a motorized drive unit. This drive unit also moves a laser welding head at the joining station to perform a welding operation on the workpiece.
