Abstract: A data processing system and a data processing method are capable of concealing files and folders. The data processing system of the invention includes a data storage device and at least one processor. When an application process is started and executed by the at least one processor to search a designated folder in the data storage device through a storage device driver residing in a kernel mode of an operating system, a storage filter driver residing in the kernel mode of the operating system judges if there are any files in the designated folder which have not been searched, and if any, the storage filter driver retrieves a next file in the designated folder through the storage device driver. If the storage filter driver determines that the application process is untrusted and determines that the next file is a concealed file, the storage filter driver does not return the next file.

Abstract: The invention discloses a managing system and managing method for managing authentication for a cloud service system. When a user operates a data processing apparatus to execute an unprotected start-up procedure to start up a browser application to access from an unprotected space of a data storage unit and transmits an authentication data including no characteristic data associated with a protected space of the data storage unit to the cloud service system through the browser application, the cloud service system redirects the authentication data to an authentication server. The authentication server judges if the authentication data has the characteristic data associated with the protected space, and if NO, the authentication server transmits an alert message representative of refusal of login to the cloud service system. The cloud service system redirects the alert message to the browser application.

Abstract: The invention provides a data processing system capable of securing files. The data processing system of the invention divides a data storage device into an unprotected space and a protected space. A protected application resided in an operating system is controlled by an application controlling module residing in the operating system. When the application controlling module receives a file access request information transmitted from the protected application, the application controlling module redirects the file access request information to access a plurality of protected files stored in the protected space in accordance with the file access request information, and then to return the access result of the protected files to the protected application.
