  • Patent number: 11415608
Abstract: An electric meter circuit assembly is disclosed which can be used as a conversion kit or in a meter installation generally. The circuit assembly includes an electric meter adapter that has a wiring harness, a meter socket adapter having a socket face adapted to receive a plug-in meter, the meter socket adapter including a plurality of meter connections exposed at the socket face; a current transformer subassembly including a plurality of current transformers, each current transformer being associated with a phase of the multi-phase electrical service, each current transformer of the plurality of current transformers being electrically connected between a meter connection of the plurality of meter connections and a phase of the multi-phase electrical service. The circuit assembly further includes a voltage transformer subassembly electrically connected between phases of the multi-phase electrical service and electrical connections in a connector adapted to be connected to the wiring harness.

  • Patent number: 9989568
Abstract: An electrical meter and methods of use and operation are disclosed. The electrical meter includes a housing and an electrical interface including a plurality of electrical connections having a predetermined physical layout. The meter further includes a plurality of voltage measurement elements within the housing, each of the plurality of voltage measurement elements connected to at least one of the plurality of electrical connections, and an electrical metering circuit within the housing and configured to detect power consumption based at least in part on monitoring a voltage at each of the plurality of voltage measurement elements. The meter also includes a power supply electrically connected to the electrical metering circuit, the power supply supplying power to one or more circuits of the electrical meter. The meter further includes a low voltage electrical connection dedicated to the power supply and from an electrical service to which the electrical meter is connected.

  • Patent number: 9824809
Abstract: A transformer system includes a transformer module and a base module. One or more transformer modules are detachably coupled to the base module. The transformer module includes a housing, a transformer, primary-side and secondary-side wires electrically connected to primary and secondary terminals of the transformer, a conductive tab electrically connected to a neutral terminal of the transformer, and a first coupling mechanism. The base module includes a base enclosure, a neutral connector electrically connected to a power line neutral connection, and a second coupling mechanism. The second coupling mechanism detachably engages the first coupling mechanism of the transformer module, and the conductive tab of the transformer module is electrically connected to the neutral connector of the base module when the first coupling mechanism is engaged with the second coupling mechanism.
