Abstract: A transfer pump includes a housing defining an inlet and an outlet. A main pump path and a bypass path disposed between the inlet and the outlet. A motor is in fluid communication with the main pump path and is configured to be energized to move a fluid through the main pump path and the bypass path. The fluid movement being indicative of a non-siphoning condition occurring between the inlet and the outlet. A flow sensor is disposed in fluid communication with the bypass path and being configured to generate a flow rate signal indicative of a flow rate of fluid in the bypass path. A controller in communication with the flow sensor for receiving the flow rate signal and being configured to de-energize the motor when the flow rate signal satisfies a first flow rate threshold indicative of a siphoning condition occurring between the inlet and the outlet.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remote power tool control are provided. In one example, a battery pack is coupled to a power tool device. The battery pack includes a pack transceiver and a pack electronic processor. The pack electronic processor is coupled to the pack transceiver and is configured to determine that the power tool device is remotely controllable. The pack electronic processor is further configured to receive, wirelessly via a pack transceiver of the battery pack, a remote control command from a mobile device, and to provide the remote control command to the power tool device. The system further includes a tool electronic processor of the power tool device in communication with the pack electronic processor. The tool electronic processor is configured to control the power tool device to perform an action specified by the remote control command in response to receiving the remote control command.

Abstract: A power tool includes a housing and an electric motor assembly supported in the housing. The electric motor assembly includes a stator core and a circuit board proximate an end of the stator core. The circuit board includes a heat-generating component facing away from the stator core. The electric motor assembly also includes an end cap coupled to the stator core and in thermal contact with the heat-generating component as a heat sink to remove thermal energy from the heat-generating component.

Abstract: A pocket hole jig includes a body with a base surface positionable against a workpiece, and a drill guide pivotally coupled to the body. The drill guide defines a guide axis such that a drill bit is insertable into the drill guide along the guide axis. Abstract: A blower includes a first fan stage with a first housing that has a first plurality of stationary vanes and a first fan that has a first plurality of blades extending radially outwardly from a first hub. The first housing includes a first axial end and a second axial end opposite the first axial end. The blower also includes a second fan stage coupled to the first fan stage. The second fan stage includes a second housing with a second plurality of stationary vanes and a second fan that has a second plurality of blades extending radially outwardly from a second hub. The second fan stage includes a third axial end and a fourth axial end opposite the third axial end. The first hub and/or the second hub has a frustoconical shape that converges from the first axial end toward the fourth axial end.

Abstract: A miter saw includes a fence assembly having a first fence fixedly coupled to a base of the miter saw. The fence assembly includes a moveable fence having a lower portion slidably received within a channel at least partially defined by the first fence. The fence assembly includes a locking member coupled to the first fence. The locking member extends into a groove defined by the lower portion of the moveable fence. The locking member is configured to engage the lower portion of the moveable fence to selectively lock the moveable fence between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the first fence. The fence assembly includes a retaining member coupled to the first fence and extending into the groove of the moveable fence. The locking member and the retaining member collectively restrict the moveable fence from moving in a direction away from the horizontal workpiece support surfaces.

Abstract: An arrangement for battery pack protection during fluid ingress. The battery pack may include a housing, a terminal block, and a core battery assembly supported in the housing, the assembly including a core housing, a plurality of battery cells supported in the core housing, a first weld strap connecting the battery cells to a positive power terminal, a second weld strap connecting the battery cells to a negative power terminal, a first sacrificial electrode connected to the first weld strap, and a second sacrificial electrode connected to the second weld strap. A spacing between the first sacrificial electrode and the second sacrificial electrode may be selected such that an ingress fluid entering the battery pack electrically shorts the first sacrificial electrode and the second sacrificial electrode to drop a voltage of the cell battery assembly and discharge battery energy before damaging the battery cells.

Abstract: A blower is provided, which comprises a housing, a blowpipe coupled to the housing, a motor located within the housing, and blades driven by the motor to generate air flow. The blower also comprises a motion sensor. The motion sensor is adapted to control the operation of the motor in response to changes in position or angle of the blower. The motion sensor can determine the angle between the blower and the horizontal plane, thereby intelligently determining whether the user wants to carry the blower by hand and wants to perform air blowing, and controls the operation of the motor accordingly.
