    Abstract: A toothed belt with improved durability and low noise level during operation having a foundation fabric 2 adhesive-bonded along the engaging surface 5 thereof, wherein the yarns of said foundation fabric 2 extending in the longitudinal direction of the toothed belt comprise a plurality of false-twisted yarns false-twisted in the same false twist direction; the foundation fabric 2 is formed by weaving said yarns and the yarns crossing said yarns in a double-faced twill pattern and is located where the face of said foundation fabric 2 with fewer of said exposed false-twisted yarns is exposed to the front face.

    Abstract: A toothed belt (1) having a woven fabric (5) adhered to its meshing face, wherein the woven fabric (5) has longitudinal yarns (9) extending in the longitudinal direction of the toothed belt (1) and formed of covered yarns (15), each of which is prepared by turning a high tensile strength and heat resistance fiber yarn (17) on a core (16) made of an elastic yarn and by further turning a synthetic fiber yarn (18) on the high tensile strength and heat resistant fiber yarn. The high tensile strength and heat resistance fiber yarn (17) is restrained by the covering synthetic fiber yarn (18) so that it does not protrude in the form of large loops, thereby reducing the bulkiness of the woven fabric (5). As a result, the toothed belt is excellent in wear resistance and durability.

    Abstract: A toothed belt of the present invention comprises a back surface section and tooth sections that are made of an acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer (NBR) with a hydrogenation rate of 90% or more; a tooth cloth that covers the surface of the tooth sections and tooth lands, the tooth cloth being made of an industrial nylon raw fiber with a viscosity relative to sulfuric acid of 2.45 to 2.53, a tensile strength of 5 g/denier or more, and a fineness of single fibers of 5 denier or less and being treated with resorcinol-formaldehyde-latex (RFL) liquid in which resorcinol-formaldehyde resin is mixed with a hydrogenated NBR as a latex component; and core fibers with a core diameter of 0.63 to 0.85 mm, the core fibers being made of twisted bundles of glass fibers of high strength.

    Abstract: A toothed belt with improved durability, comprising: a back surface section and tooth section that are made of a hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer (H-NBR) with a hydrogenation rate of 80% or more, a tooth cloth that covers said tooth section and tooth lands positioned between the adjacent tooth sections, said tooth cloth being made of industrial nylon raw fiber with a viscosity relative to sulfuric acid of 2.6 to 2.8, a tensile strength of 5 g/denier or more, and a fineness of single fibers of 5 denier or less, and a plurality of core fibers with a core diameter of 0.9 to 1.1 mm and a ratio of said core diameter to said tooth cloth thickness in the range of 1.8 to 5.0, said core fibers being made of glass fiber filaments with a first twist number of 1.7 to 2.6 twists/inch, and a final twist number of 1.8 to 2.3 twists/inch, twisted together.
