Patents Assigned to Universal Manufacturing Co.
  • Publication number: 20080029958
Abstract: A double-side game ticket or card with multiple windows on both sides of the ticket. Game symbols are printed on both sides of the ticket and are concealed by break-open windows until the tickets are purchased and played, at which time the windows are broken open to reveal the symbols. Two games may be provided on one ticket, with symbols for one game on each side of the ticket. The ticket may be constructed of three plies of material such as cardstock, with windows provided in the two outer plies and game symbols printed on both sides of the inner ply.

  • Patent number: 5671921
Abstract: A seal card game with multiple advanced level contestants includes a plurality of individual playing cards with multiple graphical and numerical symbol combinations concealed thereon under break-open windows. Certain symbol combinations provide instant winner prizes, while others qualify a player for an advanced contest phase of play. A seal card includes a qualified advanced contestant identification area utilizing a sign-up register, an advanced contestant identification area utilizing break-open windows and an advanced contest prize area utilizing break-open windows. The seal card includes a sequence for the advanced contestants to open respective windows concealing prize amounts.

  • Patent number: 4768726
Abstract: A coil winding machine which winds wire about a toroidal core to form a toroidal coil includes clamping means which removably holds the core and a set of rollers which form a path of movement. The bundle of wires is held on the rollers along the path of movement. A slider means pays-off the wire from the wire bundles and guides it in the direction of the core. The slider is progressed by the rollers relative to the wire bundle coil and is threaded through the hole of the core.

  • Patent number: 4725009
Abstract: In a toroidal coil winding machine to wind a tape or heavy wire on a toroidal core, the shuttle retains a length of wire or tape formed into a coil. A roller system is driven to support and maintain the inner diameter of the coil constant and the wire or tape is payed out from the inner diameter, to avoid stress on the wire or tape. An air motor independently drives a tension control roller which controls the pay-out tension without imparting undue stress to the wire or tape.

  • Patent number: 4469285
Abstract: A coil winding machine winds a wire about a core to form, for example, one-half of a television deflection coil. The wire is spun about the core by a flyer arm which is rotated about an axis and guides the wire over a series of pulleys rotatably mounted thereon. The wire is pulled through the bore of a tubular shaft, which carries the flyer arm, which shaft is driven rotatably and reciprocally along its axis. The core is removably held in a clamp which is fixed to a tool holder having gear teeth, preferably a sector of a worm gear. The tool holder is driven to obtain a rocking motion during the winding operation by a worm mounted on a drive shaft. That drive shaft is rotatably held in the cross-member of a cradle assembly which cradle assembly is pivotally mounted on the base and rocked back and forth during the winding operation.

  • Patent number: 4256268
Abstract: A machine for winding saddle-shaped coils, of the coil type used as beam deflection coils in television and CRT tubes, includes a winding head having a housing removably fixed to the machine base; a gear train within the housing and driven by motor means on the base; a set of hollow bushings rotated by the gear train and each axially reciprocated by a cam pin; and flyer arms having wire guides, the flyer arms being fixed to the bushings. The flyer arms are rotated and are simultaneously axially reciprocated so that they cross each other in different planes.

  • Patent number: 3930364
Abstract: A bracelet primarily for a watch incorporates at least one link which can be disconnected from a neighbouring link to allow a unit to be added to or removed from the bracelet to alter its length. The unit consists of a link and a pivot element which is pivotally attached by one end to one end of the link and the other end of which has a pair of pivot projections for attachment to another link, e.g. of a similar unit. The said one link has at one end a pair of sockets facing opposite sides of the bracelet and these sockets have slots at their sides remote from said one end to enable the said pair of pivot projections on the pivot element of the unit to be engaged in and disengaged from the sockets. The said one link has a release member pivoted to it for movement into and out of a position in which a portion of the link blocks the slots to prevent disengagement of the pivot projections from the sockets.
