  • Patent number: 4401234
Abstract: Automated apparatus for applying integrated circuits to a circuit board in which the integrated circuits are fed to the apparatus through the open end of a tubular magazine which holds them in a linear array, and which is positioned in registry with a feeding aperture of the apparatus. By this invention, a casing is provided for holding a plurality of the magazines in side-by-side relation, with the first of the magazines of the plurality occupying the position of registry with the feeding aperture. A spring loaded platen member is provided for biasing the magazines toward the position of the first magazine, so that when the first magazine is emptied of its integrated circuits it may be removed from the casing, and another of the tubular magazines moved by the resilient means into the position of registry.

  • Patent number: 4397509
Abstract: An arcade game in which the housing defines an opening on the front portion of the housing. A sliding panel which carries electronic circuitry is slid into and out of the housing, through the opening, along tracks. The front of the housing has a door for covering the opening, but this door is normally locked and can be unlocked only from inside the housing. To obtain access to unlock the door, the coin box closure on the front of the housing must be unlocked, enabling the operator to extend his hand into the interior of the housing to unlock the door.

  • Patent number: 4384716
Abstract: An electronic control circuit is provided for controlling the operation of pinball machine flippers. Each flipper is operated in response to the energization of a single solenoid coil in which the same winding is energized to place the flipper in an actuated position and to hold the flipper in the actuated position. When a flipper switch is activated, a full wave rectified voltage is applied to the solenoid coil to place the flipper in an actuated position. When the flipper has been sensed to be in the actuated position, only a partial phase controlled voltage is applied to the solenoid coil to hold the flipper in the actuated position until the flipper switch is deactivated.
