Patent number: 11505956Abstract: Hygienic trays adapted to effectively restrain items under hygienic conditions are provided by equipping hygienic trays with an antipathogenic, cohesive and adhesive thermoset overlay provided in the form of an adhesive insert or tray coating. The overlay adhesively restrains emplaced items until manually removed from the overlay by the hygienic user while also providing an unexpected superior antipathogenic environment. The hygienic trays are particularly useful from hygienic applications wherein hygienic conditions and a need to stabilize trayed items against displacement are of a dominant concern. The tray may be of a simple platform design with or without a typical bordering rim which may be adapted for hand carriage or mounted onto another supportive structure.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2018Date of Patent: November 22, 2022Assignee: Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Matthew Wayne Kriesel, Troy Bradley Goodenough

Patent number: 11377259Abstract: A viscoelastic material comprises a unique adhesive and cohesive thermoset viscoelastic polymer coated onto a flexible substrate. The polymer can be formed by curing an uncured polymer mix derived from a thermosetting reaction media of a carefully balanced ratio of isocyanate prepolymer, polyether diols, polyether triols and organic plasticizers. The viscoelastic material can exhibit viscoelastic, adhesive, cohesive, releasability, cleansability and antimicrobial properties. In some aspects, the viscoelastic material can be fabricated into a personal protective article. In one embodiment, the personal protective article is a footwear cover.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2019Date of Patent: July 5, 2022Assignee: Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Matthew Wayne Kriesel, Troy Bradley Goodenough

Patent number: 11326016Abstract: The invention provides a unique system for providing partition dividers in stowing units (e.g. shelving, trays, and containers). This is accomplished by providing a stowing unit with an adhesive viscoelastomeric thermoset polymer which adhesively restrains a free-standing divider adapted to be removed and repositioned at any desired positon to fit a user's stowing needs. The adhesive polymer is also cohesive and releases both the divider and any stowed items in contact with the polymer via the application of a counteracting removal force sufficient to overcome the adhesive attraction of the polymer. Accordingly, dividers fixedly attached to conventional sectionalized containers are suitably replaced herein by the repositionable divider combination.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2021Date of Patent: May 10, 2022Assignee: Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Matthew Wayne Kriesel, Troy Bradley Goodenough

Patent number: 6214140Abstract: As has been established, the use of energetic materials, generated by manufacturer's excess and/or demilitarization projects, as ingredients in commercial blasting explosives is a feasible and environmentally acceptable method of handling them. Ammonium picrate is used as an explosive charge in the manufacturing of conventional ammunition rounds, such as large caliber navy guns. The present invention is directed to the use of recovered ammonium picrate in commercial blasting agent compositions, that include watergel slurries, ANFO, HANFO-blends and emulsion based blasting agents. These new blasting agents exhibit favorable cost for performance characteristics and have found a use for recovered ammonium picrate, which would heretofore have been incinerated or otherwise disposed of at significant cost.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1999Date of Patent: April 10, 2001Assignee: Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Oldrich Machacek, Gary R. Patent number: 5612507Abstract: A process and composition for the beneficial utilization of waste materials which contain energetic materials are disclosed. Predetermined quantities of the waste material containing energetic materials are placed in admixture with commercial blasting agents causing the energetic materials to participate in the detonation process thereby utilizing energetic materials which would otherwise enter the waste stream. The waste material, in particulate form, that contains the energetic material is introduced into the blasting agent when the latter is in a relatively fluid state. The modified blasting agent is suitable for use in the normal manner such as in bulk or packaged form.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1994Date of Patent: March 18, 1997Assignees: United Technologies Corporation, Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Ross P. Clark, Walter B. Grens, Oldrich Machacek, Gary R. Eck

Patent number: 5608184Abstract: The present invention relates to the unexpected discovery that the use of single base or triple base propellant of small grain size in combination with a detonator and a booster, produces a blasting agent which has considerable commercial value. The resulting blasting agent exhibits favorable cost for performance characteristics.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1995Date of Patent: March 4, 1997Assignee: Universal Tech CorporationInventors: Oldrich Machacek, Gary R.
