Abstract: Optical device (1) for modifying the optics of the eye in its peripheral retina as prophylaxis of the progression of myopia, that it consists in a lens in which its inferior nasal quadrant (2) modifies the strength in a progressive and controlled manner from the center to the outer zone of the lens. The rest of the quadrants (3) of device (1) have a configuration of a graduated crystal or flat crystal, depending, respectively, on whether the user has some visual defect that requires optical correction or lacks said defect. The lens can be either an optical lens, a contact lens or electro-optical systems.

Abstract: An instrument measuring optical properties of an eye in an entire field of vision, including refraction and aberrations, including: a frame mounted on an ophthalmologic table that can be oriented in three perpendicular directions X, Y, Z; a support surface for a head of the subject; a hot mirror; a long mirror; an illumination sub-assembly including a fiber optic head; a lens; a diaphragm; a beam splitter; and a measurement sub-assembly with two lens and two mirrors; a camera including a matrix of micro-lenses on the inlet of camera, the camera being placed on the focal plane of the micro-lenses; the frame including a motor, a shaft of which rotates in the Y direction, to which an arm is attached that can rotate on the shaft; components of the illumination sub-assembly, components of a measurement sub-assembly, and the camera with the matrix of micro-lenses being mounted on the arm.
Abstract: The use of a combination of—at least one ionic liquid which is lipophilic, and non miscible with water, and—at least one enzyme, for the implementation of an esterification and/or transesterification process of a substrate with at least one alcohol, the substrate consisting of oils, fats, fatty acids, or a mixture thereof, wherein the ionic liquid, the substrate, and the alcohol form a single homogeneous liquid phase at the temperature at which the esterification and/or transesterification process is performed.

Abstract: Method for operating a smart grid including a plurality of smart meters configured to monitor at least one physical measured quantity and to provide measurement results of the at least one physical measured quantity to a central entity, includes the following steps: partitioning the smart grid into groups of smart meters, such that each of the smart meters belongs to exactly one group, all smart meters of one of the groups encrypt their measured value by applying a bihomomorphic encryption scheme and send it to the central entity, one smart meter per group is designated as key aggregator to which all smart meters of that group send their key employed for the encryption, the key aggregator computes the aggregation of all received keys and sends the aggregated key to the central entity, the central entity aggregates all received encrypted measured values and decrypts the aggregation by employing the aggregated key.

Abstract: An ophthalmic instrument for measurement of ocular refraction and visual simulation and a method of measurement obtaining the ocular refraction in a binocular manner, which incorporates a digitally controlled phase modulator for generating best ophthalmic correction in each subject. The instrument enables measuring refraction, not only associated with blurring and astigmatism, but also optical aberration of any order. The phoropter can simulate vision by any phase profile, including those of a diffractive or discontinuous type. The instrument also incorporates a subsystem for presentation of stimuli that produces stereoscopic vision of the same, enabling the subject to enjoy a three dimensional perception during the process, and two output pupils. The instrument, by its electro-optical features, enables simulation of vision as it would be modified after submitting an eye to different surgical techniques, such as refractive surgery or interocular lens implantation.

Abstract: The device comprises an injection system, which is made up of a rigid external tubular body (1) that enables it to be inserted into the abdominal cavity of a sow. This body is, in turn, covered by a sterile sleeve (2) that enables it to be used in different animals. A flexible duct (3) runs coaxially and its distal end connects with a bevelled needle (4) that permits insertion in the oviduct (12) at an angle of 45°. The proximal end of the flexible tube connects with a device (6) that includes a sheath (7) closed at the other end by a piston (8) that slides along the inside of the sheath and that enables the precision insertion of low-volume liquids.

Abstract: The procedure is based on the use of a reading test, whose fundamental objective is to remove the traditional Examiner from the process; in a way that not only removes the inherent costs of having an Examiner present but also eliminates the risk of errors being made by the Examiner. For this, the test introduces computer controlled adjustment and/or forced selection methods, which enables to achieve precise results without the aid of an Examiner. Additionally, the words are displayed using IT systems with a variety of supporting units such as a monitor or TV screen, a display, etc.
