Abstract: This invention refers to the selection and characterization of synthetic peptides that have affinity for immune system cells receptors, particularly affinity to the Interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptor, as well as pharmaceutical compositions, and use of these peptides to prepare drugs or immunogenic compounds. These synthetic peptides can bind to cell receptors and promote important regulatory profiles for the treatment and/or prophylaxis of diseases where there is an immune disorder, especially when the diseases related to the immune disorder are: chronic or acute inflammatory diseases, allergic and/or autoimmune.

Abstract: A method to acquire the structural health state of an aircraft mechanical component performs measurements at each frequency point of interest by using a network of transducers and working each one simultaneously as actuator and sensor. Each transducer is individually excited by a sinusoidal, constant frequency and arbitrary amplitude, voltage waveform for each arbitrary frequency point used to interrogate the structure. A dedicated hardware executes an analogical (analog) quantization to measure electrical current and average electrical power consumed by each transducer. With these two variables, the electromechanical signature of the structure is obtained at different areas of the monitored structure.

Abstract: A method for quantifying the levels of allergen-specific human IgG antibody subclasses, particularly of IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 or IgG4 subclasses, using a reverse ELISA immunoenzymatic technique. Also provided is a kit comprising microtitration plates for ELISA already sensitized/covered with monoclonal antibodies, for example, anti-Der p 1 or anti-Der p 2, total extract from corresponding allergens, labeled secondary antibodies, enzymatic conjugate, enzymatic substrate, and chromogenic buffer, as well as reference positive and negative control sera. The method provides high sensitivity for the detection of specific IgG antibody subclasses and is a potential tool for the control and attendance of allergen-specific immunotherapy in patients with allergic respiratory disease.
