Abstract: The invention relates to a method for analyzing the electrical consumption of a plurality of electrical appliances operating on a consumption site, by filtering a demand curve representing the electrical consumption of said appliances according to time.
Abstract: A resistive device which includes at least one strain gauge (12, 14) comprising silicon nanowires, a power supply (16) that has at least one current source (22, 24) able to generate a current (Ibias) for biasing the strain gauge; and acquisition means (18) able to deliver a measurement signal which can be used to determine the variation in the electrical resistance of the gauge is provided. The power supply includes a chopper (26) allowing the biasing current generated by each current source to flow through each gauge only during a fraction of an operating cycle of the device.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for segmenting a source image containing an object on a background. The invention produces a possibly binary representation according to which each pixel is associated with an attribute indicating that the pixel describes the object or the background. The segmentation of the image is based on a sub-process to estimate the respective probabilities of describing the object rather than the background of pixels of interest alone—i.e. those located in the proximity of transitions between pixel regions describing the object and those describing the background. A representation RV is associated with said image to indicate said probabilities.
Abstract: The trajectory of at least one marine animal emitting sound signals in the form of series of clicks, such as a cetacean, is passively determined. During successive processing time windows, raw analog signals are acquired from a plurality of hydrophones disposed in a marine environment and converted into digital data. Digital data filtering eliminates spurious noises and keeps the data, for each pair of hydrophones and each processing window, that corresponds to potential values (TDOAs) for the time-difference of arrival of the sound signals at two different hydrophones. For each hydrophone pair, the consistency of the TDOAs is checked and a number of filtered and mutually-consistent TDOAs are selected. Based on the filtered and mutually-consistent TDOAs, the successive instantaneous positions of the click sources are determined by means of nonlinear regression, and the trajectory of at least one marine animal in the environment is deduced in real time.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system allowing the acquisition and processing of data representative of the physical or mental activity and/or of the physiological state of human or animal individuals. This system includes, for each individual, a unique individual electronic box encasing several sensors capable of measuring physical and/or biological quantities related to the physical and/or biological activity of the wearer of the box and of returning information. Each electronic box moreover is provided with an interface for radio communication with a device allowing the management of the data gathered from the individual boxes and management.
