Abstract: The invention provides isolated nucleic acid encoding one or more gene products that allow for degradation of caffeine and related structures, and for preparation of intermediates in that catabolic pathway. Further provided are methods of using one or more of those gene products.

Abstract: The invention provides a method to identify an agent that alters parvovirus transduction of mammalian cells. Also provided is a method to enhance transgene expression in a mammalian cell, as well as a method to identify an agent that alters NADPH oxidase activity in parvovirus transduced mammalian cells.
