Publication number: 20090274014Abstract: The invention is a clock with of two interrelated parts. The first utilizes the clock (time measuring device/timepiece) so that the multiplication table maybe obtained therefore in an easy, orderly manner, hence division operations maybe performed in an opposite way. The second is to design the clock embodying the 1×1 to 12×12 multiplication table called a “Formation (Genesis) clock, as the 12×12 table results in number 144, which is equivalent to the total of six days, representing the days of creation and formation (genesis), as mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Bible (Old Testament). Utilizing the clock (time measuring device/timepiece) so that the multiplication table maybe obtained therefore in an easy, orderly manner, hence division operations maybe performed in an opposite way.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2008Publication date: November 5, 2009Applicant: University of KuwaitInventor: Ali Ashour Al-Jafar

Publication number: 20090253786Abstract: “Enhydrazone esters of formula (I): wherein R is methyl or ethyl group have been synthesized. The compounds of formula (I) are potent inhibitors of degranulation of both mast cells and eosinophils. These compounds also suppress cytokines generation by leukocytes. These biological activities are relevant to the prevention and/or treatment of asthma, allergies and inflammatory diseases. It is known to the art that inhibitors of mast cell degranulation such as cromolyn sodium and nedocromil sodium are used in the treatment of asthma and other allergic diseases. Inhibitors of cytokine generation, such as steroids, are also useful in the prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases as well as asthma and allergies”.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2008Publication date: October 8, 2009Applicant: UNIVERSITY OF KUWAITInventors: Charles I. Publication number: 20090135235Abstract: There is disclosed an inkjet printer containing an array of stationary printheads/color-cartridges aligned along the page width of the page to be printed with overlapping and non-overlap arrangement. The printhead is in the form of an elongate printhead cartridge for use in a pagewidth printer and can be attached to the ink supply units along the sides and along a back surface thereof. The pagewidth inkjet printer has many advantages over the conventional inkjet printers with moving printhead/color cartridge assembly and the prior art patent pagewidth inkjet printer cartridge formed using MEMS techniques. Alternate overlapping printhead arrangement is provided ensuring no gaps in printed images due to the low nozzle packing densities permitted by the standard inkjet technologies for adequate print coverage of the printed page.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 26, 2007Publication date: May 28, 2009Applicant: University of KuwaitInventor: Tareq Abduljalil Albahri

Publication number: 20090051514Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and system to inform people and relevant authorities about the place of a traffic accident at the time they occur in order for required assistance to get there as soon as possible. The device transmits messages in frequencies to relevant authorities for emergencies when a road traffic accident has occurred. Sometime this happens in a remote or uninhabited area where the driver may lose his conscience or is seriously injured and he cannot inform the authorities about it and there is nobody to inform about him. This device is very useful in traveled road and prairies. The device is operated by an accurate micro switches. Which are distributed accurately throughout the vehicle. These are not operated unless the accident is very strong or the vehicle is overturned.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 24, 2007Publication date: February 26, 2009Applicant: University of KuwaitInventor: Ahmed Al-Sayegh

Publication number: 20080203091Abstract: The present invention relates to a new design for a trash can designed to be used in fast food restaurants, in particular. Most trash cans have lids that need to be opened manually, whereas the current invention has a pedal that when stepped on, is used to open the lid. A tray loaded with rubbish will be laid on a board that is placed at a certain angle. When the foot pedal, which is attached to the lid by a spring, is released the board moves and touches the tray at the tip, which flips the tray over and causes all the rubbish to fall in the hole designed for the trash bag.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2007Publication date: August 28, 2008Applicant: UNIVERSITY OF KUWAITInventors: Sara Al-Hadhoud Abdullahman Alhudhoud, Fadel Noor, Fadi Al-Turjman, Mona Ahmed Mohemmed Hussain, Rehab Abdulwahab Ali Al-Naki, Sultan Al-Harbi, Remm Abdulluh Al-Oufan, Hessa Salid Al-Ajeel
